(BANG) - Johnny Depp has given ex-girlfriend Kate Moss a strange gift to celebrate her leaving rehab - a mirror.

The heartthrob actor is said to have presented the shamed supermodel with the looking glass - which drug addicts often use to snort cocaine off - as she prepares to leave the US clinic where she was treated following her drug scandal.

The handsome actor - who had a turbulent relationship with the catwalk queen - wants Kate to use the mirror to 'face herself without fear', according to a report in Britain's The Sun newspaper.

The star, who is part Cherokee, says the mirror therapy is an old Indian belief.

Last week, it was revealed Kate has turned to poetry in a bid to beat her drug problems.

The stunning 31-year-old allegedly writes poems then reads them to lover Pete Doherty over the phone.

Worse still, the pop princess seems to be having trouble coping with her role as a new mom — and insiders say breaks into crying jags at the drop of a hat.

Said one source: 'I think Britney is having a very hard time right now. She hasn't lost the pregnancy weight and she's desperate to get back in superstar shape and resume her career.

'She has turned to drinking wine to relax, washing away her stress.'

And while Britney had quit smoking when she became pregnant, the source said she's now smoking more than half a pack of Newport cigarettes a day, hoping it'll curb her appetite and help her lose weight.

Said the source: 'She feels sad, fat and is probably insecure about her mothering skills. She wants to be the perfect mom but gets easily freaked out if the smallest thing goes wrong.

'When the baby's bottle temperature isn't just right or she can't stop his crying or the diaper isn't a perfect fit, she dissolves into tears. She just breaks down crying and moans, 'I can't deal with this.''

Britney has also been sleeping a lot — often late into the morning and early afternoon — since she gave birth on September 14.

And while the pop star is eager to slim down, doctors have told her to take it easy until six weeks after the birth.

In lieu of strenuous workouts, Britney is now watching her diet and hoping that, in addition to smoking, her new eating habits will help her shed pounds.

The pop star was notorious for pigging out during her pregnancy — but now she's refusing her usual meals of fried chicken or hamburgers and instead opting for a Slim Fast.

Some final tidbits:

• Alex H. is moving in with Alex M. (and out of Kristin's place — scandalous!) in Los Angeles. Alex M. recently set her up with a guy in a band and they are now dating.

• Casey's stepdad invented the frozen burrito and she lives in the old Gucci mansion in Laguna, according to Alex M. 'MTV kind of forced me to be friends with her,' she said.

• Alex M. is recording an album. So is Talan.

• Jason, Stephen and Dieter live together in Los Angeles in a 16th floor high-rise. Jason and Stephen are taking acting classes; Dieter is interning at a talent agency. None of them cleans the apartment. 'You walk in there and you don't even see the floor,' Jason said.

• Kristin just scored a small role in an upcoming Al Pacino movie called '88 Minutes.' She doesn't know what the part is, and she didn't have to audition.

• Stephen is currently single and looking. He wants someone who is mature, has a good personality, loves to have fun and 'can keep up.' And by the way, he never hooked up with Paris Hilton.

Did you see the recent pictures of her, not only has she lost most of her pregnancy weight but she looked VERY happy, I guess it depends who you ask which is why we can't believe what we read, unless of course we are personal friends of the person the article was written about and can atest to the truth in it.

IT seems JUDE LAW and SIENNA MILLER are back together after he dumped her for cheating on him.

In yet another twist to their on-off relationship, both emerged from his north London home on Saturday afternoon after spending the night together.

They hoped to take a taxi but when they realised newsmen were outside the pair quickly changed their plans.

As they walked down the path Jude told Sienna: 'You go in the taxi, I'll take the car.' Sienna replied: 'But there are people out there.' Jude told her: 'Don't worry, it'll be fine.'

We told earlier this month how Jude ditched Sienna for cheating on him with new James Bond star DANIEL CRAIG.

Jude had previously cheated on Sienna with his children's nanny DAISY WRIGHT.

A source close to the couple told me: 'We just can't keep up with what's going on.'

Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe is rumoured to be dating a trainee hairdresser seven years his senior.

The 16-year-old actor has become close to Irish-born Amy Byrne, 23, since meeting last summer on the set of 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'.

The pair have regularly visited each other's homes, been seen out together and spend hours on the phone talking or exchanging text messages, according to sources.

Byrne's landlord, Douglas Jackson, says Radcliffe regularly calls at her rented home.

He is quoted by Britain's Daily Mail newspaper as saying: 'Daniel has called round on a number of occasions. Amy says it is so she can help him get dressed.

'She does his hair and make-up before he goes to various publicity events in London. They are very close friends. As to whether there's a relationship, I have no knowledge of that.'

Radcliffe's publicist, Vanessa Davies, said: 'Daniel and Amy are good friends. There is no more to it than a friendship.'

Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie: 'I Can't Live Without You'
The long distance, jet-setting relationship between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be taking its toll on the hunky actor if an item in the tabloid Celebrity Living, is to be believed. The mag reports that Pitt broke down while on the set of 'The Assassination of Jesse James' in Calgary in an alleged panicked cell phone call to Angie. 'I can't live without you,' Brad reportedly pleaded to Angie in what is described as an animated cell phone call. Is this where one usually inserts the term whipped?
Brad was reportedly distraught looking before getting Angie on the phone in the courtyard outside of the production office. He allegedly was struggling with his scenes before taking the break to make his phone call. Apparently just the sound of the sultry Jolie's voice got Brad back on track as the actor then reportedly calmed down and was back to work on the set according to a 'source' cited by the tabloid.
'He seemed calmed,' after the call an onlooker spilled to CI.
One other note from the magazine: Brad apparently spent 'months' away fro Jen -ex, his former wife of four and a half years. Perhaps he doesn't want to go that route with Angie. Angie and Brad have been burning up the skies trying to spend as much time together as possible as he works on this film in Canada and Ang works on 'The Good Shepard' in New York.
