Welcome Dulhan!! Good Luck on all the planning.
I went with DJ Sharad. I have gone to some of his parties and he's really good. His DJ's can also speak punjabi/hindi if you need that. His MC's are also awesome, they really get the party going. His prices are a little higher than usual, but he is definately willing to work within your budget.
Here's his site: www.djusouthasia.com.
Also, for hair and makeup, check thru this thread and a lot of girls have put up great reviews on some vendors. I'm using a small salon that did my engagement party and they are giving me a great rate for me and my girls. But i'm not having her come to the house in the morning, i'm going to her in the afternoon for the reception.
I spoke with DJ Sharad actually and his prices are a little high for me. I need a DJ for two parties, mehndi and reception, and he was quoting me 2K for just one event!

I got my engagement cards from 123cards.. and it was great! For the wedding, I am ordering mine from Parekh most likely.. I liked their selections a little bit better.
