Did any of you girl go to the Dulhan Expo yesterday? Was it helpful?
I actually did go to the Dulhan expo and i was primarily looking for DJ's, mehendhi artist, and makeup/hair ppl. There were lots of vendors there!! I got the business cards for like all of them! So i'm still deciding on a DJ and makeup. I spoke to DJ sharad and again, his quote was very pricey. It seems like the lighting makes it very high in price and i really want to go for that look, but im not looking to spend $3000 on just lighting!!
For makeup i was thinking Habibs since i've heard so much about her. God, everything is soo expensive! she charges around 450!

that's her charge $450 to meet you at the venue and that's for one look.. so if you plan on getting a look for the ceremony and another look for the reception, it will be doubled and she will stay with you the entire day.. if there needs to be any touch ups before the ceremony begins and stuff..
i agree.. everything is soo expensive.. it would have been so much more easier to get hitched in India!!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
he kind of picky, i pretty much cook american foods, like pasta , sometimes some rice (the way his mom cooks it, she told how to do that ) i baked chicken, or fry shrimp. etc etc. sometimes on weekends we go to either my parents place or his for dinner, so i dont have too cook too much. i basically cook either from mon to thurs. there are times that we order takeout , that only once a week. i pretty much know how to cook, i dont know how to plan for the week, what to cook
, i have to try my indian cooking on him soon!
