Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Hey girls, just so I have a pre-warning....did any of your family or Fh family send back the RSVP card, or did you have to call the whole world??? I'm noticing, only my friends are sending it back, it's like family people automatically think we KNOW if they are coming or not...... I have a feeling this will stress me out soon, am I correct?

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
Why would people wait until after the RSVP date? That's stupid, there's a reason for that date rite?? My rsvp date is not until January 5, 2008, but how long after do you think they send it? I mean we need time to do the favors, place cards, table arrangements and all that other stuff. They should be a little considerate you know. I guess I just needed to vent, thanks!!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
for our engagement, our RSVP was about 6 weeks before the date of.. and we did that on purpose, because people just assumed that they would be there.. it was so annoying!we started calling about 2 to 3 weeks after we sent the cards out, because most of these people were just talking about what they had to wear and where it was.. so my dad was like, o you are coming? we didn't get the rsvp yet.. a couple of uncles later, they started sending it in!!
so for the wedding, i'm keeping the rsvp date like in early april.. and have another set for late april, early may as back up!!
call away.. and you will get rsvp's up until your wedding!!!

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread
you'll probably get people come to the wedding who rsvp'd no....or people who you weren't able to reach and didn't rsvp, just show up......so be prepared for that as well. definitely expect that not everyone will rsvp...especially by your date, so you'll probably end up calling a lot of them.

Check out Patken. I think they're a pretty good mix of photojournalistic and traditional styles. I absolutely loveed Sherwood Triart, but they were out of our budget.
