i don't think my rings are really 'bling' my engagment ring has one diamond and then 4 small ones on each side. then the band has 9 small diamonds. what about everyone else?

i have a solitare ring, no side stones for me, my wedding band is plain. i actually wanted an etenity band with my e- ring, it cost way too much, maybe i get for our one year anniversary.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

I'm trying to get a matching band for my e-ring, with a little bling =) My e-ring has an oval diamond in the center, and small pave set diamonds along the 3 sides of the band.

Well, I have to find a photo/video and a florist. I need to get alterations done for my indian outfit and reception outfits. and hair and makeup.

i have alot to do!

i ordered a sample of the invites but i honestly really dont have time for them to mail me a printed sample. I am trying my best to get them out by jan 2. they send me drafts on the cards by email. you really think i should order a printed sample?

We just booked our florist....pedestals....their price quote was lower than 3 other florists we checked. But we're also doing pretty basic, low centerpieces.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Yeah I booked Pedestals. Spoke withRobert. I go and see my sample tonite, for the second time. Now they have a better idea of what I want and hopefully it will come out good. Their prices were reasonable. I'm also doing low centerpieces for all the tables except for the 4 family tables, I am doing high centerpieces. The pricing just came out better that way and whereever I can save money, I try.

Also, for photography, you can try Duval. Another bride on here used them and she said her pictures came out great. They also did my engagement party and everybody loved them and they did such a good job. Check them out, they do video as well.

I am sooo stressed. I know that my FH family is lazy and they will not send back the RSVP cards so I'm gonna have to call all 100 people on their guest list. Their family is soooooooooo big, it's crazy. The wedding will be mostly FH family and a small piece of my family and friends, lol. But at least almost everything is booked. Just gotta get the favors, card box, RSVP's for seating arrangement and hair trial. All is well after that, I hope.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

I will definately take pictures and post them. Yeah, I'm gonna ask FMIL to help me but so far, anytime I ask her for something or to find out something, it's like pulling teeth you know.

Hopefully this snow slows down so I can get to Long Island to even see my flowers. This sux about winter weddings, traveling when it snows is really hard.

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

don't stress.. everything will fall into place.. RSVP's will come in time.. the favors boxes will be done.. don't worry..

i'm not doing big centerpieces either.. actually, i'm thinking of ways to use the flowers from the ceremony.. FMIL's are a class of their own.. they want to be involved in everything.. yet..

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Yeah, definately a class of their own. Thanks though, I'm getting better at stress management, but there are days where you just have to throw that tantrum and let it out you know. Then you feel great afterwards. (too bad that tantrum is sometimes at FH, lol).

Re: OFFICIAL Indian 'Desi' Wedding Thread

Yeah I know it was bad. I was soo nervous to be out on the roads, I just wanted to get home safely. It's just that there is no assurance that next week will be any better. I mean we're getting another storm this weekend, so that's what bothers me.
