Re: Paging all Latin Brides
Hey girls:My family is from Uruguay, FH is Greek. We've decided to get married in the Greek Orthodox Church and will hopefully be able to have the ceremony done in Spanish and English (if we get the priest that we want). Our GO engagement ceremony was done in Spanish and English.
I also want to do the programs in Spanish and English. Wanda, can you email me the template that you have? Thanks!! :)
As for the bridal party, we have 16 people
. We're having a DJ which will play some Tango for us. FH has more a lot people coming on his side, so not a lot of Tango will be played.

Marcela- The tango is so popular in Colombia and Uruguay. I think it will add a nice touch to the evening
bird- I love the BM dresses. Very nice choice.
Here is your link. It was missing the 's' in fashions

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
Hi girls!!!I'm a Latina newlywed, got married August 17, 2002. I'm from El Salvador and so is DH. I'm sorta new here. I found out about this site after my wedding because I was a victim of Marc/Videomaker. I really wish I had found this site before my wedding because there's always lots of helpful plannings tips on here. Anyway if I can be of any help, let me know.
I, too had a huge Bridal party 11 bridesmaids, 11 gm, 5 flowergirls and 5 ringbearers but the pictures look great with a big BP.

We went to Leonard's when we looked into a hall for the eparty and it is breathe taking!
I love that place. But we didn't want to spend so much pp. FH said if we were to have a party or anything in the future Leonard's will be on top of the list.

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
Hi Everyone!!Curly- GREAT idea with this thread!! I know I am kind of late on it, but I just got back from a short weekend trip to South Beach, which by the way was AMAZING!!
Sooooo- My name is Patty, and I was born and raised here in Huntington, NY! My mother is 100% Puerto Rican and my father is 100% Ecuadorian- all grand parents were born in Spain. FH is 100% Colombiano- born there and came here when he was only 10! We met in college...
Bridal party- yes, pretty big. Totalling about 25pp with all the flower girls and everything! Plans are almost done...still have to book limos, buy favors, and invitations! Oh- and I too am looking for a trio to play at our cocktail hour- if anyone has any suggestions/ reccomendations, please let me know!
I too have a great DJ that caters to our traditions and music- Feel the Vibe Entertainment, they're great! If anyone needs info please FM me.

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
Hi ladies, I can play
My mom is from the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo). Dad is Irish, but mom is such a force in our household that my sister and I joke that we forget we are not 100% Dominician
We are having a DJ at our wedding to play a good mix of spanish and anglo music, as FH is German and his family might not enjoy a whole night of salsa y merengue! I used to be big into the latin clubs, Latin Quarters, Cafe Remy and the Copa. Anyone used to dance there too?

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
Hi everyone! Both my parents are from Uruguay. FH is from Maryland and is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Jewish . This will be quite a mix of people!
We are having my grandmother do one of the readings in Spanish and plan to have latin music at the wedding.
Luckily I was able to tone down my bridal party but the guest list keeps growing!!
