to all the girls on this board i just got back from my HM last weekend, andi wanted to let you all know how AMAZING westbury manor was...EVERYTHING was perfect...
we added only the martini bar and the mashed potatoe bar (we added that one the day before lol)
and EVERYONE kept commenting on how much food there was and they couldnt believe it...even my dad said his whole table was talking about it all nite...my mother too...
good luck to all future westbury manor brides...that place is truly amazing!!

I second that, it was truly a great great day for me as well on oct 1 this year. :D

oh, and i never heard of the 5 entree option, hm.....!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Which do gals like more of the 7 choices?

stuffed shrimp
lamb chops
duck
filet mignon
salmon
grilled vegetables
chicken breast

I loved the duck (without the orange sauce) and the lamb chops best :D

You might have heard wrong...there is only the 7-choice menu...unless thye're trying to cut down on the choices.

As far as the tables go - I say 10-12 people will fit comfortably at each table...no more than that.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

they ask you to put 14 at a table..but we had only 3 tables of 14, the rest were 12, and 10..we even had one with 8...you can really do it how you want it..we had the big room and we wanted it to look filled nicely so we chose to have a few more tables by lessening the amount of people per table...its up to you really...
my favrotie was the salmon by the way...
even my 7year old son ate it..it was delicious!!

We had the lamb chops and were do happy with them. When we were all stuffed our BM asked us if we wanted to try anything else and we were like nah..... she said are you sure? Anything from the menu.. and she listed the choices. When we heard stuffed shrimp we jumped on it and were so happy that we did!!!!! They were so tasty!!!!!!

We had so many compliments on all the food. Even the vegetarians complimented the grilled veggies. I can't wait to go back there again!!!!!!

I haven't beent here for a wedding yet-- but I have eaten intheir polo lounge restaurant twice-- their fish (sea bass) is AMAZING & their FIlet Mignon is cooked to perfection... Anything they serve is great. I haven't heard a bad thing about their food yet!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hey ladies!
I attended a wedding yesterday at WM--for fellow LIW gal: GothBride. i must first say, she had one of the coolest, most awesome weddings i've ever been to! it was halloween themed, and i loved it!

here is my guest review:

Pre-Ceremony: We waited with all the other guests in the Conservatory--where they were serving coffee & juice. It was a little tight in there, but it was only until the ceremony started.

Ceremony: They had their ceremony on site, in the Manor room (where the reception was later held). WM set it up beautfiully. all the chairs had beautful covers and bows on them, and the alter was very pretty. i loved it

CH: We were moved back to the Conservatory and Library for the CH. The food was yummy and we definitely tried to sample everything! I really enjoyed their fresh mozzarella and chicken francese. My only slight complaint--would be that it was a liiiitle tight for everyone. the amount of space for the food was small--and therefore with about 130 guests or so, there wound up forming a rather long line for the food. but it moved relatively quickly.

Reception: we were moved back to the Manor Room for the reception. (they made an announcement--and the guests moved quite easily from one room to another with ease) the room looked great! we found out table quickly--and the waiter was fast to get our drink orders. the waitstaff were really great the entire day--making sure we had drinks and such.

food wise--i thought everything was delicious. i ordered filet mignon--and my FH got the pollo verdi. unfortunately when my steak arrived--it was VERY rare (i asked for medium). my FH got a waiter's attention, and he apologized--and within about 2 min. i had a brand new dinner in front of me.

for dessert we were given like a white chocolately covered ice cream treat--with some raspberry (i think, i'm not sure cause i didn't eat the red sauce--i hate sauce!) coulis drizzled on it. as for the wedding cake--i'm not sure what flavor it was--cause i just dipped the darn thing in my chocolate sauce i got from the chocolate fountain!

it was a fantastic party--and the WM was a great place. i think there was another party going on upstairs---but we didn't bump into anyone or anything. it was a great party all around!!!!!!

the DJ was Body Rock---and the music was great. the only thing i didn't like---was the MC. he was good most of the time--but i felt like he really liked the sound of his own voice alot. i mean the crowd on the dance floor was rocking out already! he was trying to 'get the crowd going', but mostly everyone was already rocking out as is. he kind of sang along with some of the rock songs in the microphone too...and i don't know about everyone else--but i wouldn't want the MC having a karoake moment at my wedding!

all in all--WM girls, it was a FANTASTIC WEDDING!! i am uploading pics to the album right now--but i'm sure by the time mostof you read this--they will be ready. under my community album--it's listed under Sandy (GothBride's) wedding !

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Ok I have booked westbury manor and have quite a few questions but here is a major one...

i havea wedding of 225 quests. Are they going to fit in cocktail hour (garden room, conservatory and library)?

Will they all fit comfortably in the reception room?

I here that the rooms are small and i didnt think that way but I really need to know.

Thanks!
