Hey Ladies..

I have a question.. ON my wedding day there is also another party going on.. My photographer said that 9/10 if the bigger party (I have the garden room) is there taking pictures, I will be pu in a corner to take our shots..

The whole reason I booked WM was bc of the grounds.. so now I think I have to spend more money and book Old Westbury Gardens to take my pics..

Ok...honestly Twelfth Night doesn't know what they're talking about...

On our wedding day there were THREE count them THREE parties going on at the same time...and you know what...we used the ENTIRE place!

We had pictures taken upstairs, outside on every inch of the grounds, in every room possible...

Don't worry...and no need to book Westbury Gardens unless you want to take pics there, but I agree...the main reason for booking WM is not only their great service and yummy food, but the beautiful grounds.

(Oh...and we were in the Garden Room too!)

Good luck! Definitely talk to him and WM...but you're more than fine!

Sounds delicious!
Seriously...don't spend too much money on a lot of extras...WM has soooo much food that guests are unbuttoning their pants! I kid..I kid...
But really...there will be sooo much food they won't even miss the mashed potato bar.

I was at the bridal showcase and they had the mashed potato bar for people to eat. It was so good!!! I would have had it in a second, but in the middle of August who wants to eat mashed potatos!!! My best friend got married there 2 weeks ago and there was soo much food and it was delicious!!!

When I looked there, I was told that depending on which room you have decides where in the garden you get to take pics (if there is more than one wedding booked). For instance, the bride using the Manor Room would have the pics in a certain area, and the bride in the Garden Room would have pics near the Gazebo I think. I would check with your BM just in case!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

There was more than one wedding on my day as well, and I had no restrictions to any area. They didn't let us walk around freely mind you, but I mentioned taht I wanted to take a picture somewhere and they said ok, just give us ten minutes to clear the area and it can be done. (And I had 12th night too!!!!!)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I went to WM yesterday to pick my menu items and can't help getting chills when I saw the garden room where I'm getting married in a few weeks.

It's absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! There was a sweet 16 party about to start there and it looked amazing with the ivory/white linen, white sash and chair covers.

I can't wait to get married there! :D

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hey wm brides....I just got back from my honeymoon in Italy. My wedding at WM was amazing. They did such a great job and everyone keeps telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. It goes so fast- it felt like my wedding was an hour even though it was six! It was the best day and the grounds were beautiful. I was so worried because we had about 145 in the garden room- but it all worked out, everyone had a blast. As soon as I find the time, I will put my review up. I have a few non professional pictures, my proofs should hopefully be ready in a few weeks. Good luck with the planning! You will not be dissapointed in WM. Thats for sure.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Oh man, I'm so worried I can't make my minimum of 100 at the Garden Room.

Is anyone able to get WM to reduce the minimum? I may be off by about 5-10 people. One week to go for hte rsvp deadline and I have 67 'yes' and 10 'no' so far! :(

I would hate to have to pay full price for the vendors and kids. Anyone know if they will throw in anything if you need kids and vendors to meet the minimum?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

actually i think they have a rule where if youre 10 under your minimum or less, you take home the dinners youre paying for...if its over twn people, they will try to accomodate you another way
