Okay everyone...little tipsy from all the wine I drank at Westbury Manor (they were awesome.. treated us to 4 glasses of pinot grigio each...and baked clams...WOW!) but here is our menu.. we picked it all out ourselves the day before (Amanda was such a sweetie, I thought I was meeting with Kelly but Amanda was a sweetheart! Highly recommend). We visited Erga's Bakery, and they were sooo nice, gave us a sampling of some of the fillings, and well, here is our menu!!! Enjoy! FM me for any questions.

Cocktail Hour:

Greek Station
Southwestern Station
Pork Carving Station
Chicken Scarpiello
Mussels Luciano
Fried Calamari
Eggplant Rolatini
Pierogies
Spare Ribs

COMBO COURSE:
portabello mushroom salad

Dessert:
Heart of Sorrento

And (Drum Roll Please) The Cake!!

While I love Carrot Cake (FH loooooves the one I make, with toasted walnuts! His fav!) we decided it would be perfect for a fall wedding, but should go with something we and everyone else would love. I love chocolate, but didn't want overkill. So here is what we chose:

Chocolate Ganache Frosting(I hate buttercream and whipped cream with a passion)
Marble Pound Cake
Chocolate and Vanilla Pudding Combo Filling
Decorated with two tones of Pink roses (my bms' are wearing chocolate brown and will have pink bo'ks) so it will look HOT

ONLY 31 DAYS TO GO!!!

The grounds looked amazing! WM brides, we have nothing to worry about!!!!!

Does anyone know what the choices are with the cakes? Is there an extra cost if you prefer a differnet design than what's offered?

Yes, it does cost extra. They will let me know how much extra the ganache is going to be (only whipped cream and buttercream already come as choices). When I get home from work, I'll let you know the cake filling choices.

Thanks. At least the menu went on without a hitch. Just had my hair and makeup trial at Maximus yesterday....hated it. They were so rude. The makeup artist was nice and did a pretty ok job...but I was there for like almost five hours! They kept leaving me and passing me from person to person. For the first two hours all that got done was my hair getting set and after that it didn't even hold...and when I complained NO ONE APOLOGIZED. Instead they blamed my hair.

Then, here is the even more terrible thing. After one of my BM endured that treatment with me, we went to my fitting. That went great, the dress is coming along and looks wonderful. I got it Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. My BMs got their dresses at the other location in Carle Place. So we go there and wait for one of my other BMs to meet up with us. Well the dresses came in...right color, manufactorer, size...but wrong style! And hiiiideous! Its now less than a month away, and their dresses are coming in two weeks before my wedding. And its not the most convenient location for us to trek to. SOOOO MAD.

It was a manufacturer mistake but BR should have caught it when the dresses first came in.

So no hair, no makeup, no BM dresses, and still looking for a videographer.

OHHHHH I cant wait to start picking out my menu. we had dinner there when we booked and it was yummy!! I think we are going to there for dinner on the 29th our one year away mark. i wish it was next year.

We were there Tuesday (still freaking over how many people will be at my wedding!) and guess what - the peacocks had a baby!!!!!!!!!!! It is adorable! It was walking around with Mommy!! It is all white with some red feathers starting to come in on its butt!!! Absolutely adorable!
