Hi Ladies,

To answer the question on the cake...I selected the filling the day of the menu selection. I also selected the design of the cake (at first the square one) however, it was not what I wanted. The Banquet Manager said, I would have to meet w/ the Baker (Erga's Italian Bakery in Bethpage) her name is Lily. Very sweet I met her almost 2 weeks ago and brought in a pic of my cake that I wanted. Pic is posted. I asked to do exactly like the pic w/chocolate just not as muche petals she can scatter them more. And yes it does cost more, a few hundred. Good Luck ladies. Hope it helps.

WOW I love that cake!!!

Just wondering what hotels are in the area of WM that you guys would recommend for OOTers. I want to be able to offer up a few in all price ranges. I am new to the area and do not know it very well so any help would be greatly appreciated.

We blocked rooms at the Marriott.
But there's the Wingate Inn, Garden City Hotel and
the Hilton Garden Inn close by.

We were looking into blocking rooms at the Garden City hotel...bc they have a place for us to go and grab a drink with our guests after the wedding...the only thing now is that FH & I recently stayed there for a freinds wedding and IMO the rooms are NOT worth the money that we paid...they are very outdated...I'm double thinking having my guests pay all that money for a room that needs the 'while you were out' team in there...do any of these hotels have a bar or a lounge in them?

Thanks so much. I wanted to try and have a cheaper option in there as well for some of my younger cousins on a budget...does anyone know what the Red Roof Inn is like?

The ceremony will be staggered. One will start 30 minutes before the other b/c there is only one ceremony location.

Thanks!

I actually just heard back from the BM in the other wedding...she was advised to put an hour before on the invite... So her actual ceremony time isn't the same as ours...
Ugh...I think I almost puked today! I was thinking...ok...nice weather...one outside and one in...ummm...we could see eachothers ceremony...

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

AND I just found out that there is three weddings happening there in the morning!
Us at 11am, Someone upstairs at 11:30am, and then the girl I know at 12!
Starting to feel like a wedding factory.

I agree it sounds like it...I booked it and now its too late...whatever...my cocktail hour starts at 6:30 and the reception ends at 11:30 in the upstairs Hill Room...Im not expecting top of the line service there but I swear I better not see people from other weddings walking back and forth pass my room OR the cocktail room...
