those moving out for the first time

besides college, moving in with my FH is the first for me. anyone else sad? now that its so close...im getting nostalgiac. i know ill be here all the time, maybe its one of those days!!

When I moved in woth my fh I was sad yet happy. I was happy to be with him a start a new life yet I was going to miss my old life and home and my room.

I was happy and sad, and I really missed my mom, and I was moving one town over. I ahd always made fun of DH for leaving his mommy, and I was the one crying. After amonth, I was better though, even though I always went to my mom's to do laundry.

I lived at home until 2 weeks ago when I got married. It was and still is a huge adjustment. The first night there I was an emotional mess, but DH stood by me and comforted me!

It is a big step and there are definitely going to be changes!!! Good luck!!!

I haven't moved out yet but feel the anxiety already kicking in. Its like a double edged sword...can't wait to live with FH but totally get sad when think about leaving mom (even though she drives me crazy from time to time )

My wedding is in 3 weeks (gulp)... This past weekend my mother wanted me to take some of my stuff over to our apt. I made every excuse not to. I can't help it, I can't wait to live with FI but to pack up stuff from my room That I have been in FOREVER is just weird!

yay! its not just me! i cant wait to live with FH either. but its like, everything youve known...the comfort of your room and home when you are down, and now its not yours anymore! my poor parents...ill be coming to them a lot at first!

It definitely would have been harder for me had my parents not sold my childhood home. When we all moved from there, I moved right in with JT. Talk about adjustments. We were all going through it together. I had never even gone away to college, and now I had no where to go that was familiar. It seemed weird to me that here I was, with my life changing so much, but when I would go to my aunt's house or my grandmother's, everything there was the same. I don't know, that probably makes no sense, but I found myself visiting other family more to find that sense of 'comfort', since I didn't have my house anymore.

I can't WAIT to move in with FH. We both live at home with our parents, and I constantly stay over at his house now but I am really excited about getting a place with him.
