Looking for ideas for guests to do betn ceremony and reception

The church and CB are 15 minutes apart. The time between the ceremony and the cocktail hour is about 2 hours, possibly a bit more. Since CB is on Old Country Rd, does anyone know of places we can recommend our guests to go to in the meantime? Some of the guests attending live to close to book a hotel room but too far to go back home. Any suggestions?

Re: Looking for ideas for guests to do betn ceremony and reception

my mom hosted people back at my parents house to kill time in between. She just had coffee and cookies available.

Is there anyone that lives close by and can have folks come over?

I guess my house would be an ideal place since we live 15 minutes from CB. Hmmm I will have to chat with my parents about that. Thanks Lisa.

I would also suggest having someone host your guests.

Re: Looking for ideas for guests to do betn ceremony and reception

I would definitely suggest hosting something at a house - just coffee and cookies is MORE than enough -

Remember you are in a good location - some might want to wander around roosevelt field or the source too...

Ccheck with CB. They may be able to accomodate your guests with coffee & cookies for an hour or so. Naturally, I'd expect them to charge you for this. You mom might not need the added stress of having people at her house in between. Also, won't you need her for photos?
