Out-of-town bride needs help
I live out of town and am being married at the Bourne 10/16/04. I have not yet booked a DJ, Photo, Video, officiant or Florist. Since I have no idea what these will cost, I would like some estimates so when I come to LI at the end of Dec, I will have some idea and wont take up your time if the cost is way out of my budget. DJ: Good music, no 'show' necessary, no giveaways, able to get people up and dancing without being intrusiveFlowers: simple, creative, fall theme
Photo & Video
I would appreciate knowing whether you have packages to meet different budgets and I can give you more details in FM if you care to respond. Thank you for your help...it is not easy planning a wedding from afar.

Re: Out-of-town bride needs help
Hello and congratulations to you and your beloved!Planning from out of state can indeed be stressful. Picking your vendors well is even more important in your situation in order to maintain your sanity LOL!. Based on my out of town brides and their experiences, the best thing to do seems to be to begin with some phone calls. Always call more than one vendor in each category. Remember that everyone you call is going to be nice to you, everyone is going to be able to do their job, and everyone will have a good sales pitch and think that you should book with them. But honestly what YOU think and feel is most important. It's not getting a good vendor it's getting the right vendor. Things must not only be beautiful. They must accurately reflect your vision of your day. They have to want to know who you are. My brides who have had the best long distance planning have picked vendors that they had a rapport with, they must understand you and be able to see through your eyes to give you what you want. That was my 2 cents.
Good luck to you in your planning and don't forget the Brides Board! They are amazingly supportive of one another!
Please feel free to contact me.
May your wedding be as beautiful as you have always dreamed with many healthy happy years to follow.
