WHERE TO VACATION IN CALIFORNIA IN OCTOBER?

We are in a unique situation, my parents area llowing us to use their timeshare for our honeymoon....its based at Myrtle Beach, but we can go anywhere, and would like to go to Cali, but a part where it will be warm beachy hot weather in October...where we can just basically be in the middle of everything, not have to rent a car, but not in a nasty run-down city...

Any Suggestions??

I have never been to Cali but go to VEGAS.
I know there is a really good time!!!!!!!!

I might go there or Italy for mine!

I can;t do Vegas, we did that a few years ago, want to go somewhere different!!

But yes..I am a RW freek, and will be tuning in!!!!

I am not sure how warm it is in October - but I just loved San Diego when we were there last year.

I would go to San Diego. I still haven't been there, but I've heard great things. The weather is supposed to be perfect, and there is a lot to do.

Napa is also nice, especially if you're a wine person. October is a great time to go because thats when they're harvesting all the grapes and you can probably see the process actually being done at the wineries.

Can you split up your trip at all?
Def. San Diego... it's so beautiful, and I love Old Town where all the Mexican restaurants are.
If you can make it up north- yes it is harvest season and the perfect time to hit up Napa!

in California?

not sure that you really have much choice unless you don't want to leave the resort/hotel...


most of CA will be beautiful in October...although keep in mind...northern will not be beach weather...


I am in San Diego...so I will of course push that...but LA definitely has its sightseeing possibilities...


but to be objective...if you really don't want to rent a car...I would suggest Catalina Island...

San Diego is great! LA has ALOT more to do sightseeing wise though!

I lived in LA for 3 yrs. I just recently went to SD and although its gorgeous, there wasnt as much to do, but I still had a great time!

Rent a car. We went to LA in Dec, and it was not beach weather, but was jeans and t-shirt weather. San Diego's nice too.

San Diego baby! I was out there on business about 4 years ago and stayed an extra 3 days and didn't want to come home.....LOVED IT!!
