Week and a half to go

So my last day at work is January 16th and I am completely bored! I feel terrible since everyone in my department is running around like chickens with their heads cut off and here I am doing absolutely nothing! My supervisor doesn’t want me to take anything new to work on since my work is going to be passed along to the other analysts in my department.

I was thinking that I could at least get things started for them. But no... just try and close out what ever I’m working on. I dread coming in to work these days because I know there will be next to nothing for me to do… such a waste! It also doesn’t help knowing that I could be doing so many other things at home…

Re: Week and a half to go

You might be one of those who go from not dilating to fully dilated!!! Me, on the other hand, was dilated for 2 weeks before I finally had her! So it doesn't matter!!!

I'm very excited for you!! The last weeks are very exciting!! Is your bag packed? Make sure it is because you don't want to be like me -- I didn't have mine fully packed, I only had Gianna's, so when my water broke an hour and half after coming home from the dr, the first thing I did AFTER I took a shower, was run around trying to finish packing!!!

Re: Week and a half to go

My bag still isn’t packed. I told myself that I wanted it packed and in the trunk by the end of December. My husband keeps reminding me to pack that darn thing… but for some reason I keep getting side tracked. I did buy a new toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner yesterday… so I’m kind of getting things ready. I partially packed Madeleine’s bag… except for the clothes & blankets… since I still have to wash them. But I have a funny feeling that I’ll be running around at the last minute trying to get some things together. Oh well.

Re: Week and a half to go

Yup, that's what happens!!!! Since Gianna was early, I had NOTHING done!!! The furniture came the day before I went into labor and thank God, I had washed some clothes the day before!!! But it'll all work out, so just go with the flow (easy for me to say because I most certainly didn't )!!!!

Make sure you help yourself to PLENTY of the pads they give you in the hospital!!!!!!! Trust me, you'll be needing them!!!! As a matter of fact, help yourself to everything!!! Send your DH home with bottles of formula (if you're not BF), diapers, you name it, take it!!!!! Even those bedsheet things -- trust me!!!
