Memory Candle just got here (w/ pic)
My brother passed a couple of years ago and I know it would have meant a lot to him and to I to be at our wedding, so I wanted to do something to show that we were thinking of him. I ordered a candle from Chandlers Candles and had it printed with this poem:Although we cannot see you
We know that you are here
Smiling down, watching over us
As we say “I DO”
Forever in our hearts
Forever in our lives
And so we say our vows
In loving memory of you,
Brian Patrick
It came out really pretty. I know it'll mean a lot to my parents too

I'm so sorry to her about your loss. That candle is beautiful--I'm fighting back tears.
Do our parents know, or is it a surprise?
Where are you putting the candle?

Re: Memory Candle just got here (w/ pic)
I mentioned something to my Mother about wanting to do a memorial candle but she hasn't seen it yet. I know she'll like it. I'm not sure exactly where I'm going to put it, but my florist is making an arrangement to go around it. Getting personal....My brother was young when we lost him and my 2 cousins so it was a huge loss and I wish my brother could be there wearing a 'friggin penguin suit' as he would call it, but I know he'll be there in spirit. I was thinking of leaving a chair open in the first row with a rose on it, do you think that is weird, I've heard of people doing that. I just don't want it to turn it into a sad thing, ya know.

JENNCHRIS, I just started tearing up when I read your last post. I think leaving a seat open is a beautiful idea...

Sweetie, I think that is a wonderful tribute to your brother. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. The candle is beautiful.
As a mom, your thoughts have touched me deeply. Our loved ones are always with us not only in spirite, but within our hearts and memories.
I think placing a rose on a seat for him is a tribute to his memory. Suggestion: if you feel that your special day will sadden them, why not place a photo of a 'friggen penguin suit' along with the rose? I'm so sure that those tears I'm sure will appear will turn into smiles.
You have a wonderful heart, follow it!

Reading that candle almost brought me to tears also. I can't imagine losing my brother or sister. Definately leave a chair for him!Did you say you lost 2 cousins also? How terrible!

I went to the website, however, I don't see where you can order the memorial candle. I'm sorry for your loss. I was interested in purchasing one as well. My parents are gone and so is my fiance's mom.Welcome New Vendors
