mine has been my boss for 4 years... we have a good relationship. I should invite, right?

i'm not inviting mine - but i'm a teacher, so i have about 40 different bosses.....and it's my first year, so we have no relationship yet

I would say you should. My boss came to mine-and gave a very generous gift...
But that's not why my opinion is to invite your boss, I think if you have worked for him/her for a while and have a nice relationship it's definatly a nice gesture to invite them.

I invited all 4 of the doctors I work for and 40 coworkers & spouses, but I'm very friendly with all of them and my bosses would have been insulted if they weren't invited. My DH is the boss & he invited two of his long time employees and a few of his customers(they insisted that we invite them)
I'm glad we did with all of them-they were better guests than some of my family!

I would being you have worked there for awhile and you have a good relationship. I invited mine - I worked here for over 6 years at that time and we have a very good working relationship.

I ended up not inviting anyone I work with at all. It was too many people added on to our already expanded guest list. Everyone understood considering that my boss was also getting married two weeks after me, and she didn't invite anyone from the office either.

I invited all 3 of my bosses to my wedding. I am close to them so I felt that they needed to be there. My bosses supported me throughout the whole planning and everything more that others I would of thought.

Also one of my FG's was the bosses daughter.

I work in a small office so I invited my boss and the 6 other girls in my office. I was also invited to my bosses wedding.

I did, but we got along so well she was kinda on the 'friend' list anyway I also invited our director at the time, who we both reported to, just so I didn't exclude her.
