We have an accepted offer on
THE PERFECT HOUSE!!!!
It's a 5 bedroom/3 bathroom house with water damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's got a full basement & a decent yard.....we can't get a convential mortgage due to the amount of repairs needed to make it livable so we are working out our financing.
OMG! Cross your fingers for us that the deal goes through!
Gotta go to my bonusdaughter' s concert now-I don't know if I'll be able to sit still for 2 hours!

The pipe that burst was between the 1st & 2nd floors-so all of the sheetrock & insulation on the first floor is gone, all flooring & some of the subfloor is gone too-then the basement filled with about 5 feet of water before anyone realized(the house was empty @ the time), so the basement was finished with a bar & family room-but thats all gone. As well as the house needing ALL new electrical & a new burner from the water filling up the basement.
Believe it or not though, its PERFECT. I couldn't dream of more. Rich will never be happy with anything the way someone else built it anyway-so this is a real diamond in the rough.
Misha-my bonus daughter is my step daughter-but I try not to use that name because the whole "step" thing has such a negative feel to it.
I will keep you posted!

Keep us posted, please I'm especially curious because we passed on an reo with lots of water damage (owners removed the sink when they moved out and didn't cut the water  ). I'll always wonder in the back of my mind if we should've bought the house!

wow - sounds perfect for you guys! (we saw a house in Massapequa with a lot of water damage in the basement and ran like hell!!!  Then again, we're NOT the fixer upper types that you guys are  )

Things are moving along-seems like the deal will go through.
The house is in Lake Panamoka-its lakeview.
The exterior needs updating, I don't like the arrangement of the windows in the front, so we will move them & vinyl side the front(the sides & back already have vinyl)
& the yard needs fixing up
