Glad you hear it since it usually calms the mom's fears. Not sure about boy or not. The 140's is kind of the middle if you go by the old wives tale.

I thought the old wives tale was tha below 150 means boy and above means girl

Or maybe baby was justed tired

In the beginning my baby's heartbeat was well over 150. Towards the middle it was around mid to upper 140's and then after that it averaged around 138. I have a baby boy. So I would say boy. Usually the girls are above 150+. See what the average is on every visit.
