Sept 16th Wedding...Fall or Summer?

I am not sure what kind of theme to go with....I see so many cute ideas for fall, but technically, it's still summer....anyone have any ideas what kind of theme I should go with? Summer colors, fall colors?
Just looking for suggestions...I have so much time and could go either way at this point

That's a tough one! When you say September I think fall, but if you say labor day I think summer. I would probably lean more towards fall, even though you can never predict in NY. I would say you are safe either way, this way if you like the fall theme go with that or if you want summer colors go with that.

my birthday is the 19th and i always thought of it as fall, even though its really not.

I vote fall. JMO

You are lucky because you could shop around for both themes and see which you like more and use either one. I would go with summery things because if it is really hot that day (which it may be) and there are alot of fall colors it may seem out of place. JMO I love summery colors and themes though so I am biased.

I would say fall also because Labor Day has passed and school has started. Either way it will be beautiful!

I think you could go with either. It is usually still warm by then, but school has started so pick whichever you like best!

I would say Summer -- technically it's still summer.

I got married 9/20/03 and I went w/ summer and at 86 degrees, clear and sunny it sure felt like summer.

i am doing something in between...

my colors are ivory, chocolate, orange and pink. the church is in a beautiful setting and the reception will be on the water. if the weather cooperates, we will have the CH outside and have a 'summery feel'...

I saw fall... I always looked at after labor day and going back to school was offically fall for me

plus I think fall decorations are much cuter!! JMO

Another vote for fall. Although I have been out of school for a while, once Labor Day passes- to me the fall begins. Just like when memorial day passes, summer begins.

You don't really have to go seasonal, or have theme at all.

Just start looking at dresses & flowers & see what colors you like.

We're getting married on the same day. I thought the same thing...what colors to pick...etc... I gave up trying to figure it out. It's on the borderline so you can go either way. I'm not going with a theme and here's a pic of the BM gown. Same colors---ice/sky blues.

Tough question:

Our wedding is two weekends before that...Labor Day weekend so.....
I am considering mine summer but your's I would say Fall.

My wedding is the 24th. I am not going with a season type theme. I am just picking things I like. It is ending up looking like a spring wedding actually! Do whatever you like!

just do whatever colors make you happy. i got married sept 13 and my girls wore dark green dresses and carried sunflowers. the centerpieces and my bouquet were fallish colors, all oranges, yellows, reds etc. it doesn't matter either way as long as you are happy with it!
