Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

$100. White and Yellow 18k gold. Made by Movado. We got the matching set for $188.

Discontinued items, baby!!!

For the band that I wanted, (14k gold, with 1/3 karat diamonds) I was qouted $3,000. I refuse to go that high that's more than my e-ring band cost and my e-ring band is platinum with 6 diamonds totalling 1 carat

Anyway, I want a pave band to match my e-ring, but they're like $3000 as well. FH and I are going to get matching bands now and I'll get the band I want for an anniversary or b-day gift in a few years.

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

They are pretty $$$$. It depends on gold/platinum, the mm, how many carats, the quality of the diamond. I would say for an eternity band it can go anywhere from 1,000 up. The one I like is almost 6k

FI got me a platinum eternity band with 4.27 carats. IT was $9,000. But he got it from his client who is a wholesaler. It is estimated for over $20,000. I love it and have been wearing it everyday.

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

It is all a matter of personal taste and what you can afford. I have an eternity band (little more than 2carats) and I love it. But it was $$$. My thought I will have it forever.

Check the diamond district - my friend got a beautiful eternity band (all diamonds at least F color and VS2) for $700. Don't know the total weight of it though.

yes and no.... I mean of course you want to put $$$ twords the house but people blow a tun on their wedding flowers that die 2 days later meanwhile you will have the ring forever and be wearing it everyday. Plus it goes up in value... My ering has already since a year ago

i'm not having flower centerpieces for this reason

if i had the extra disposable income, i would love one! but given everything i want to do, i personally just want to now save for a home.

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

I feel your pain.
The ring I want has to be custom made since my E-ring is a 2.5 carat canary diamond. All the rings we try on dont seem to go with it.
But realistically speaking I really dont want to shell out the money to make it. The house is more important to us.

Plus when I wear my E-ring people tend to come up to me and ask about it and it makes me feel uncomfortable like they may want to mug me for it..I am so paranoid.

So basically its your call. Hatever you two can live with..since it should be both your input..you and FH!

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

the bands that my fiance and i picked out are like $250 a piece. they are celtic cladagh bands in white gold (to match my e-ring). even though our wedding feels like a century away, i showed him that band and he refuses to look at any others now. he loves them, and he's italian not irish. i'm irish. :)

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

$800

Its kinda of like an eternity ring. It's a gold band with diamonds set through it. I have a bad picture of it .. lemme post it.

I like diamonds but Im not 'girlie' enough to wear all diamonds. Seems too gaudy for my style. I like my ring cause I can wear it without my e-ring and it's still very subtle and stylish. Just me though..

Re: Sorry a bit personal but.....l

I am getting a diamond wedding band. We don't know the exact price yet. It is going to be between 1 and 2K though. My FH and I feel like it is something that I am going to be wearing forever and we didn't want to wait. We have been saving for 2 years now for the wedding and a house. If we can do it anyone can do it. If you save $20 a week by skipping eating out, or skipping the movies, or not buying another shirt, in one year you will have $1,000. It is not that difficult if you stick to it.
