What a weekend (repost from 04 board)
This weekend was sooo crazy and full of surprises!Saturday I was waiting for my MOH to come over so we could go and pick out the BM dresses for my OOT BMs when a limo pulls up in front of my house! I was soo perplexed! and Had NO clue!
Well it was my bachelorette party! We went to the Vineyards and had a WONDERFUL time! It was so much fun, there was about 8 of us but everyone just really enjoyed coming together and getting to know one another better!
My BMs from North Carolina and Virginia came up as well! I was soo excited!
Then we went to dinner at escapes, where get this......I went to HS with one of the strippers! I was shocked and couldnt look at him the whole night! (yeah and he recognized me as well--Great!)
Then sunday, my FH and I had some plans to go pick up the remainder of our favors when I get a phone call from my mom that she is at lunch with friends but forgot her glasses, can I drop them off. A little suspect but I walked in to my SHOWER!!!
It was at the IRISH COFFEE PUB! and I cant tell you have AMAZING they were! There was a little confusion regarding the room and we didnt get the room we have originally booked but they MORE than made up for it with the service as well as throw ins...they even sent me flowers to make up for it! My mom is amazing! She said she wanted this day to be all about me so it was all my favorites ICP is my FAVE restaurant, and it was a brunch b/c breakfast foods are my favorites (any time of day!) Everyone is raving about how great the whole shower was, the food the service everything! And our family and firends were amazingly generous!
We got sooo much! I catn event explain it, we got all the basics, towels, sheets bedding, tupperware, vaccum, etc. As well as luggage, cutco knives, a bbq and a patio set!
Our family is sooo amazing I cant even express my gratitude to them! And my BP was awesome! They had a wine theme and gave away wine glasses and charms to everyone, then had contests for bottles of wine as well as other prizes! It was a huge success!!
ETA: Oh and my mom picked up my gows and they are AMAZING, even better than I could have dreamed (drewsgirl-you were right, I was worring for no reason!)

It was amazing that I know that many people that want to give me gifts. I feel blessed. Your Bachelorette party sounds like fun! Too funny that you knew the stripper. Glad you had a good weekend!

Wow, you're right. What a weekend! That just sounds like an incredible time, and it's wonderful that the OOT BMs were able to come up for all of it.

We really are so lucky! Everyone was more than generous! We were amazed! We got so much, and the best part, very few duplicated!!! My 1 year old cousin even got us a great gift, a basket filled with holiday decorations! and my 2 year old neice made me a 'katie original' and its framed! (my dad was like, wow thats really good - I said only a grandfather could say that!)I graduated from Lindenhurst HS in 97. THis kid was not my year but close! I actually played Volleyball with him for a few years!
I couldnt believe it when I saw him, it totally made me laugh!!!
ETA: My OOT BMs were amazing to come up fro the whole weekend! And at my shower I had friends from PA and NJ come in, and a friend came in for my bachelorette from NJ because she couldnt make it on Sunday! It was soooooooo much fun! I totally recommend the vineyards for a bachelorette! and its fairly low cost (only the cost of the limo! the tastings are mostly free!)
