What are some creative ideas for a rehearsal dinner...what have you seen and liked?

We are having ours in my FIL backyard. We are having a luau. Not very creative but not an ordinary dinner at a restaurant.

We are doing ours in the backyard too, but at my parents house. We found a deli that caters unlimited hto dogs, hamburgers, bbq chicken, sausage and peppers, corn on the cob, watermelon, soda, and water. It should be nice and relaxed
