Where do you wear your engagment ring on the day of your wedding?

I've seen people move it to their right hand... is that the tradition? If so, after the ceremony, you move it back to the left hand, placed after the wedding ring?

Dumb question, I know...

right ring finger until after the exchange of wedding rings...then i guess it's up to you if you want to put it back onto your left finger on top of your band...

i've heard that the wedding band should go on first to be closer to the heart

I'm wearing it on my right hand tomorrow until after the ceremony, and then switching it back next to the wedding band.

I've heard of it being closer to your heart... and something about how your heart is on the left side, hence the band goes on the left hand... I'll move the eng ring to the right until after... thanks!

I'm wearing it on my left ring finger, but that's because I'm getting married in a Jewish ceremony, and the ring gets placed on your right index finger during the ceremony. Therefore, I don't have to move my engagement ring at all and get to wear it on the finger it's always been on!

I plan on wearing it on my left hand until we get to the church at which point I'll move it to the right. After my FH kisses me he'll take it off the right and put it on the left behind my wedding band - which has to be closest to your heart.

In the greek tradition, we wear it on the left hand side and during the ceremony the priest moves it to the right with your wedding ring. I know we do it opposite from everyone else, so I'm guessing you would wear it on your right and then swich to the left when you get married?

Just make sure you remember to move it before the ceremony. I forgot and realized this during the ceremony when holding hands with my 'groom' and had to discreetly move the ring to my right hand during the ceremony.
