May 30th Westbury Manor review with pictures updated phot review

I am married... We had the most perfect day. It was 100% more than we ever dreamed it would be. The weather was so perfect. The funny thing is, is that all I kept preparing for was the reception and the best part was the ceremony it will mean more to you can you can imagine. I was so overcome with joy, that I sobbed throughout he entire ceremony. It was so heart felt and warming that the whole church was in tears.

And now the review...

Saint Catherine of Sienna- The church was beautiful and Father Dennis gave us such a beautiful ceremony. He gave us such a beautiful homily and advice that we will always remember.

Westbury Manor- A+
Raul and Lupita were our staff for the dy and even before we pulled into WBM they were out side waiting for us with Champaign. They attended to every need we had and every need our family and bridal party had. My bracelet broke and they even got wire to fix it before my pictures were taken.
Everyone raved about the hall especially the grounds to the point that we could not get anyone in from cocktail hour, so our reception started about a half hour late and most of all the food. Our glasses were never empty. The only complaint I had was about my cake. We paid almost 500 more to have a fondont cake and WBM to decorate it with flowers and we had about 10 flowers that were almost dead. And the cake tasted so dry. But all honesty they could not have done better.

DJ (Dash of Class)- A+
they did such a fantastic job the music was perfect, the MC'ing was amazing and our video montage shocked everyone because it is so different. We had about 4 montages compromising of 25 pics each of Gerald growing up then me, then us together then another with our family and friends. And when we had our parent dances we had pictures with them of the flat screens.

Hair and Makeup (Fairytale Makeovers) - A+
Jennifer and her staff were phenomenal they arrived early and had each one of us looking better than we ever imagined,. My girls have all been in weddings and said that they were the best. They helped calm me down when I got excited and truly felt like they were part of my bridal party. I truly could not have been happier with the way my hair and especially my makeup came out. I recommend her extremely highly.

Photography and Video (Proline) B-
unfortunate it was so crazy that day I cant remember any of their names, but they were on time and very receptive to what I wanted. They helped calm me down when I was neverous taking pictures. My family loved them also they helped with tissues when the tears came. They took shots that I have never seen, meaning they set the bridal party and us in ways that I have never seen pictures.

I got my proofs an that is why I am reposting this review. I wasn't too happy with them I felt like they missed allot of shots that they should have gotten. For instance no shots with groom and groomsmen or with his sister. None with my parents in the royals getting to the church. There wer just allot missing that are just standard in my eyes. There were some great ones dotn get me wrong but....
Also as a word of advice when you are working up your contract go for the larger albums, or if you can upgrade now do it. We had chosen a 48 pager and it was not enough it did not tel the story of the wedding and we ended up adding about 35 more and it cost almost as much as the whole photography had cost us where as if we would have just chosen the larger album we would have only been out another 1000 but also would have had more in our package, its just something to think about.

Florist (Westside Floral) A+
Our florist was in our bridal party and I put everything in his hands all I told him was my color scheme and that I wanted high centerpieces and the rest I told him to surprise me. Well I was I walked into that room in awe.

Bagpiper (Kevin Connolly) A
He was playing as I pulled up and played as we walked out.

Rehearsal Dinner (Pompeii in West HEmptead)
A
The food was so good the only negative is we only got two choices of beer which I was not aware of. But the food was great and o was the wine.

Tuxedos (DeRae -Franklin Square) B-
The Tuexes were in fabulous condition and really looked classy but some people had problems, my fathers pants came up to his shins and we had to run over about a 1 hour before the ceremony and some of the other guys had length problems also. Make sure your guys try the suits on when they pick them up no matter where you go.

Limos (Royalty) A
These guys were great, we did have one problem a few days before my Royals Royce broke down, but they called me and gave me a choice between two others, which actually worked out for the better since I got a four passenger which meant my mom was able to come in with us and gave me room for my humongus dress. They were so funny when they started playing the horns (here comes the bride) ont he way to the church they asked me if I wanted them to stop and I said absolutely not I wanted it on constantly, hey you only get this once in your life. They had champaign ready for us after the ceremony. They lined us all up for the ceremony. And after the reception hey waited for us for over an hour so we could finish up with loose ends.

Bridal Reflections C+
although I loved my dress and the whole process was great with them. When it came time to pick up dresses all the brides maids needed about 5 alterations each the day of pick up all the hems were wrong etc. When I got my dress it was snagged and stained and they tried to blame me for it even though I had not tried it on yet. It fought and fought and finally got it almost fixed, but it was the worst wedding experience I had.

Honeymoon A+++++
Italy was absolutely a dream come true it was always our dream to go and it lived up to all our expectations and more. We went to Rome, Capri, Florece and Venice. Each place was so unique and had more charm than the next. Venice was the best it was so romantic.

I think that is it. Ladies the only advice I can give is enjoy every second of it. Don't sweat the small stuff its your day. You will feel like you need to spend time with everyone but you cant and they understand. The night flew by. So enjoy it you only have this once and for all the work you put into it you deserve all the magic that is included

i didn't remember a thing after the wedding either. I kept thinking "no other guy but my dad and DH danced with me all night!" But we just saw the video and i had danced with the best man and a couple of the GM, very briefly, but i didn't even remember it.

I'm STILL depressed that its all over!
and we didn't get a pic by the fountain.

tanbride, thanks so mcuh I would love to rave about our hotels we stayed at the Borocco in Rome, its a few blocks fromt he Spanish steps, they were all extreemly fluent in English and so helpfull on places to eat where to tour etc. The room was great small but beautiful. But in Rome there are allot of hotels.

In Venice without a doub I would recomend our hotel the San Clemente Palace its on its own island off of Venice its a 10 minute free boat ride away from St. Marks Square it is the most romantic thing to do the hotel is equivelent to NY's Plaza in our opinion the pool is great so you can tour int he morning lounge by the poo in the afternoon and then go back out for dinner, nothign was nicer than taking the beautifl boat back after dinner. FM me if you or he has any more questions both places are on the web. Oh and the room was soooo beautiful,v iew of venice and a bathroom of marble to dye for ther is tub and a seperate shower for two.

Mich my dress is from Yolanda Coutour and I must say the pictures does the lace and beadwork no justice, I hope the professional shots show more of the detail, its very old world I had many second thoughts but that day I was sure it was the one.
