Not TTC yet... but I have been having awful dreams about childbirth.

This is a recurring dream. I am going through a really tough labor. My FH is there with me. Things are going really bad and they start to lose me... I always end up DYING at the end right when the baby is born. Then I am like a ghost in the room watching and I see my FH with the baby, he is crying, and I am there dead in the hopsital bed.
I am scared to death now of giving birth. Why am I having these dreams? How common is it nowadays for a woman to die while giving birth? I can't talk to anyone about this - they will think I am crazy. I am really nervous/scared

Have you been thinking about starting to TTC? Maybe you're just nervous about it. It is very uncommon for a woman to die during birth now, a lot less than it use to be. I think it's like 1-2%. I think a lot of it has to do with how much better the procedure for c-sections have become over the years. While it is still a surgery, it's a lot more common now so they don't lose as many mothers during it as they use to. A lot of times when there's trouble during delivery a c-section is the way to help things along. Since they've gotten much better at the procedure death is not as common of a result.

I am not even thinking about TTC for at least 4-5 years. I have no idea why I am dreaming this... is my body trying to tell me something
