My July 2nd Wedding Review.....

Hello Ladies. I just came back from my honeymoon a few days ago. My wedding day was wonderful (with a few minor gliches...) but overall fabulous!!!

HALL - The Estate at East Wind A+++++++++++++

I cannot say enough wonderful things. From day one they were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Everyone raved about the food and our maitre'd and bridal attendant were right on top of everything.

DJ - Hart to Hart Entertainment
A-

Overall, they were good, they had the dance floor packed all night. However, they did not play the entrance song and cake cutting song I requested and they played too many slow songs in my opinion.

PHOTO/VIDEO - Classy Candids
A so far.....

I had a 5 man team for my wedding day and they were all great. They were quick and efficient and kept everyone in order (we had 9 bridesmaids and 13 ushers so you can image the craziness!) Once I receive my proofs and my DVD I can give a more detailed review, but so far so good!

FLORIST - Jack & Rose

I had a few minor discrepancy with them (Please FM me for details) My flowers looked a little wilted to me upon delivery but I do not think that was anything that could be helped due to the heat that day (VERY HUMID!) I felt like my flower girls pomanders (those are the flower balls with the ribbon) were very cheesy ) practically no flowers and my centerpieces a little skimpy with the roses with too much greenery to compensate.

LIMO BUS - All Star Limo
A+

Limo bus was early, clean and comfortable. We had a pretty good distance between the hall and church. Joe was our driver and he was wonderful.

HAIR/MAKEUP - Bridal Touch by Elena

An absolute pleasure!!!! I know there have been some issues with her on the boards but her and her assistant Yvonne did myself, my mom and 4 bridemaids and everyone came out perfect. My husbands family thought my mother was my sister!! Elena was on time and followed me to the church and touched me up right before I walked down the aisle. I would recommend her to any bride out there.

WEDDING GOWN - Bridal Suite of Patchogue

Customer Service and Organization C-

Another vendor who has caused quite a stir in the past. I absolutely loved my gown and the seamstress (Lucy) was a doll! She fit my gown to me perfect and made the most beautiful french bustle. However, scheduling fittings was a nightmare, whomever scheduled them never had it written down correctly in the book, they were always nasty when you called and were always complaining how short staffed they were (UMMM, sorry but how is this the brides problem???) But I must say on pickup day (although they kept pushing up my pickup time!) the dress looked gorgeous and fit like a glove.

TRUMPETS - Royal Brass

When I pulled up in my rolls royce and heard those trumpets I truly felt like a princess. They sounded beautiful and were a pleasure to deal with.

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES - Commack Wedding Center
B+

Can NOT beat the prices there. They are wonderful. The dresses came in rather quickly as well. However, they ordered all my girls dresses WAY to big. Advice to future brides. DO NOT let them order the size they suggest. Literally all my girls zippered up their gowns and they fell to the floor.

TUXES - RSVP in Bay Shore

Very good to work with and very accommodating. A few minor size issues but they were all fixed quickly without major problems.

REHEARSAL DINNER - Papa Joe's
A+

My husband and I love this place and he has been friends with the owners for years. They really did a nice job of making a private atmosphere for us and our families and the food was great.

HONEYMOON - Travel Agency - In & Out Travel
A+

I recommed them to anyone. Dave is wonderful to deal with and we did not have to worry about one detail in our traveling. Truly Excellent.

ARUBA - Marriot Resort & Casino

I wish I was still there. Words cannot describe how perfect this island is. If you have not been there, go and if you would like details on specific restaurants I can suggest please FM me.

I think that's everything. Once I get some pics I will add them on. A little advice to future brides (Probably the same you have heard already) Really do take a moment to soak it all in. My stomach was in knots so I really did not eat but try to eat if possible. You truly are being pulled in a hundred different directions that day. So take a moment with your husband and really appreciate what that day is about.

Congratulations! I had the same experience with Bridal Suite of Patchogue-but hey- as long as the dress fit beautifully-you never have to see them again!
