how did you ask people to be in your bridal party?

i am thinking of a cute way to ask people to be in my bridal party. any ideas?

I made 'will you by my bridesmaid, maid of honor & flowergirl' cards....Everyone thought they were adorable & different!

Michael's Craft store has the items to make the cards & it is not expensive at all

I made a MOH bridal book for her where everything was organized for her to plan my shower, be by my side...it had a lil poem in it that I wrote. I only have 1 Bm and MOH so I asked them and gave them flowers! They loved it!

We announced our engagement during christmas, so I purchased tree ornaments that were little white bears in wedding gowns. I glued little banners on them that said , 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' and gave it to them as one of their christmas gifts. They loved them!!

That is the cutest thing ever!!!! I made 'will you be my BM, MOH', etc cards for everyone and I also wrote my 3 long distance best friends very long letters explaining why Id love them to be a special part of my day.

I just asked mine. Some already knew they would be in the party. I have another FSIL to ask, which I will do next weekend when I see her.

chicsweets.com - i sent them cookies that looked like BM dresses and i got the ones below from thesnapshotcompany.com --- they were both great to work with!

chicsweets.com is not taking any more orders until spring 2005

I just went to their website and they are expanding and moving and wont reopen til this fall or take nwe orders til next spring. THAT STINKS

They are so cute and I was sure that that is what I was going to do. I guess I could always bake them myself but its not the same!

We gave the girls Angel Cheeks statues that were bridesmaids (thats what my FI used to propose, except the engagement one... and my mom had the bride and groom waiting for when we got engaged!), and got the guys Groomsman keychains... we put them in white bags with red tissue paper and made little labels that said 'We've love you to be part of our special day' or something like that... then we gave them to them at our engagement party :)

I asked my 14 year old cousin by wrapping up a poem in a box asking her to be my junior bridesmaid. I gave it to her at her confirmation party... so all her friends were there when she opened it! (she was so excited!) For the BM's I made T-shirts and gave it to them all wrapped up in a gift bag at the engagement party! Here is a pick of them after they all opened them! I totally recommend doing something that they get to keep!

ok, i think i am going to go with the t-shirts idea!! i love it! i've been on the knot and they have every kind except junior bridesmaid.

anyone know of any other site where i can find shirts like this?
