Repost from NWR: Anyone ever donate a car?
If you did where did you go? I've been calling places like the cancer society and other non-profits and they never call back. Any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, I donated FH's car earlier this year. The charity was "Cars for Sight" and they were very responsive.

I called a place out of the Pennysaver...Wish I could remember, they made a time and came and picked up the car, I wasnt even home, they left a receipt in the mail box....Look in the car section of either a pennysaver, Yankee Trader etc, they list a lot of them..

I donated my car to Heritage for the blind.
me too... it was very quick...they came within 48 hours to get the car (it did not run)...and I got a tax receiot for the book value of the car, even though the engine had seized.

They picked the charity they liked and everything went really smoothly!
