Looking for a beach vacation but it is hurricane season everywhere. SO far Aruba looks like the only option but, I don't want to fight for a lounge chair.

Where have you gone on vacation in October with good weather with a less than FIVE HOUR plane ride?

The first time I ever went to Disney World was Columbus weekend and the weather was gorgeous ... I'm sure there's got to be good beach places in Florida in October ...

We went to Grenada in October and had awesome weather. We stayed at a small resort called the Calabash, we didn't have to fight for a lounge chair. The beach was nice but not as nice as say the Bahamas.

It's hard to predict but I have chanced trips to the caribbean in the fall and mostly lucked out....

The Bahamas & Bermuda are both very close.

Key West is my fave but if you don't want crowds don't go there from 10/20-10/31 - that's when they have their fantasy fest.

My cousin went to Puerto Rico last fall and stayed at the El Conquitador (I think) and said it was wonderful.
