I could start some trouble, but, instead I will just say I am sorry for the loss . . . and leave it at that.

are you REALLY sorry for the loss???

I turned off the Met game in disgust.. decided to check the Yanks to see what was going on..

(had enough darn politics for today)

Well... after I stopped laughing my head off...
the most ridiculous thing is that the Yanks announcers are talking about how solid their pitching staff is with a good solid pitcher going out for them every game. Are they kidding???

Were they watching the same game I was?

What exactly offended you?

You got to admit.. the pitching is not what it once was.. right? They have a few weaknesses that once did not exist.

The Mets.. there's no excuse. Plain and simple.

True we haven't won in a long while.... but we never lost 22-0.

They didn't even get into field goal position.

Here.. I brought you a

The twinkle is back in the eye of every fan whose team is just starting out, what difference does it make if its the Mets or the Yankees or Boston? What we cant even anticipate the start of a new season anymore because were Mets fans???

Re: HOLY CRAP.. What happened to the Yankees tonight?

Because most of us are not saying ..They are DONE with their teams.or something like what your FH said above.... Something that is VERY COMMON with MET fans...
So they need a 7-8 months to recover from the previous season..
And unlike the METS we usually don't end on such a sour note...
It appears to me that due to the over anticipation in the may-june months..Met fans get that hope (which is more than the average team, except maybe Boston) and when that hope is lost/shattered they way it happens for the MET fans they get that hopelessness. forget them attitude...

that is the difference

All teams who are in third place or lower Im sure have given up on their teams by now. Yankees fans are in high spirits because they are in first place

I am still a Met fan, always will be but yes the season is gone, so why am I going to waste my time and watch the game. Would you watch the games if the Yankees were in last place?
