I don't have any pics (sorry!) ... but try to do a search for Nessa79 wedding album or pics ..She had a seashell /beachy theme with a beautiful shade of aqua/blue as her color scheme and it looked sooo GORGEOUS!

I found unpainted wooden lighthouses at Michaels on clearance so I am painting them in my wedding colors(white and purple) and putting them on blue colored stones(water) and surrounding them with shells and votive candles. Cost- about 10 a centerpiece!

Re: Beach/Seashell Theme- Post Pics!
Here are the instructions how to make them just in case you are crafty.
Or maybe you can find someone to help you do them...
These cheerfully colored umbrellas sporting seating assignments dot miniature sand dunes at the entrance to a summer reception.
To make:
You’ll need a 1-inch-deep tray, a sheet of 1/4-inch foam board cut to fit into bottom of the tray, and some sand. Lay the foam board in the tray, and cover with sand. Drizzle sand unevenly, sifting a bit more here and there to form dunes. Print your seating assignments onto colored paper, and cut them into strips; glue strips to the shafts of the umbrellas. Poke the umbrellas through the sand into the foam board at an angle so guests can easily find their names.

I wish i had a picture of it, but for my cousins place card table, they gave the hall a bag of sand and had them spread it out over a table, and then on sand dollars were everyones name and table numbers. the sand dollars were 'stood up' in the sand, it was so cool!

I saw something really cute in a magazine.....I'll look for it.It was a box of sand with the place cards (as sea shells) placed inside it for guests to pick up. It was really cute. Also you could do this as a centerpiece. Or a fish tank centerpiece is so cute too! Then your guests can take home a new pet from your wedding!

Originally I was just going to do silver place card frames and candy. I'm not sure now. So many things to think of!

Re: Beach/Seashell Theme- Post Pics!
Sorry I'm so late in responding. I bookmarked this thread so I could come back to it and answer.I, too, am doing a beach theme. We are giving mini wind-chimes as favors and my girls are wearing an ocean blue color. I got 'beachy' invitations and am probably putting shells on the tables.
For our table numbers, we are having a friend take photos of us on the beach holding number signs. We will frame them (cheaply) and put them on the tables. I even got my FI to agree to this!

Re: Beach/Seashell Theme- Post Pics!
Question....I have wanted to do a beach theme for some time. When we first started looking at halls on the water, they were out of our price range. We have decided on the hall (Jericho Terrace), which is not on (or near) the water. Do you think it's silly to do a beach theme if the wedding is not on the water??? I jsut have SOO many ideas, plus all the wonderful ones you have all shared. Thanks!

Why not? Long Island is on the water and near the beach???
