Tough one!! I just tried doing an internet search and got zilch!! Maybe if you went down to a bakery they could give you some ideas!!
Here's what I think would be cute, having a football player cake dressed up in the Jets uniform with a football in his hand and the helmet on his head!! Just an idea I was thinking of, I am sure that a bakery could do that!! Or what about just a jersey cake, with the whole cake being the jets jersey and maybe your FH's favorite players number on the shirt! I'll keep looking and thinking.
Good Luck!!

Ok I bumped a grooms cake thread I had saved. Call this woman. She might be able to do a JETS cake. Let me know how you make out.

Julz, I got my DH a grooms cake shaped like a NY Mets baseball cap. They also make cakes shaped like "football helmets" .. I ordered it from a company called "Elegant Cheesecakes" which is based in San Francisco ... they will ship anywhere in the US.
The website is: www.elegantcheesecakes.com
Here is a pic of a football helmet cake:
I will warn you - these cakes are ridiculously expensive (mine was $400 plus shipping ), but it was delicious and Dh loved it.
Maybe you can show a pic to a local bakery and they can try to replicate it

Julz - call Audrey's Bake Shop in Sayville. It is an absolutely incredible bakery and they did a lawnmower cake for my landscaper husband for the wedding. Speak to Thomas - he's the baker.
Good luck!!!!

Re: Plesse post pictures of Grooms Cakes! Especially JETS ones!
It depends on the cake - to cut your cost you could just do a football shaped cake and have a NYJ helmet scanned into the middle.
For DH I did a rainbow cookie cake and gave the baker a pic of hubby's lawnmower and he scanned it onto the cake and we wrote "You Mow Me Over" on it
I think it was like $50. Give him your budget and I'm sure he'll come up with something. Can't wait to see what you come up with (I'm a HUGE Jets fan myself which would be why we walked into the reception to the Monday night football theme - hubby nixed the J E T S...jets, jets, jets chant LOL)
