I work in marketing/promotions. Matt works in IT doing lots of computer stuff! We live in the city on the UES.

We met through mutual friends then finally got together at a friend's engagement party 2 years later.. this is the abridged version.

Matt proposed in our apt.. I got home from work one day and there were 50 balloons in the apt.. He was not here- but left me instructions to pop each balloon andl leave the one of a diff. color for last. Each balloon had a note in it with a reason why he loved me, or just something cute. I finally got to the last one which gave me instructions to call downstairs to our friends apt-- he came up and gave me one last balloon with the proposal in it.

My ring is an antque setting with a center cushion radiant cut stone, with three round side-stones on each side.

My dress is Reem Acra..

And we are going to Jamaica on our HM, then coming back through New Orleans and going to Jazz Fest!!

Ring: Hard to describe...it's white and yellow gold, round stone. People have commented that it's kind of vintage looking, but new. I love it.
Proposal: In our living room, on February 13. He was going to do it in Penn Station, where we met for our first date, but I was glad he didn't. I didn't want a public proposal.
Wedding: The George Washington Manor.
Honeymoon: St. Lucia in December, when we both have off from work.

We live in Redondo Beach, CA but I am orginally from Bayside, Queens and he was orginally from Franklin Lakes, NJ.
I am a school counselor at a middle school and he works a market specialist for an areospace firm.
We met on Match.com and I knew I was going to marry him on the first date. Funny note- we ran into one of my friends on our first date and I jokingly introduced him as my future husband. I knew he was the one when he laughed and didn't freak.
Ring- round stone in an antique setting with two baquettes and tiny stones set around the band. I love it and had no clue what he was buying. I would have picked it myself.
Proposal- on the beach at sunset in Puerto Vallarta on Feb 13.

Honeymoon- Jamaica- one of few places neither one of us has been- he travels a lot for work

We both work in title insurance. ( ) Which is also how we met 4 years ago. We used to work for the same company.

My ring was custom made in the diamond district after the Tiffany Lucida setting. It is a radiant cut diamond set in platinum.

My dress is by Priscilla of Boston. It is ivory dutchess satin with alecon lace, pearls and crystals.

Tom proposed on December 26, 2003 at 12:03am in my parents living room after everyone had gone to bed. He originally wanted to propose while we were opening presents, but his plan didn't work out. He had the ring in his pocket all day. (This is the short version.)

Our wedding will be at Flowerfield in less than one month.

We are taking a Medditerranean Cruise for our honeymoon. I am getting VERY excited.

Met: In a bar Actually, we graduated high school together, but I didn't believe him. I ran into a mutual friend in Da Phunky Phish during a Scofflaws show, and he introduced me to JT. JT told me he had a huge crush on me in high school and I didn't believe him. Somehow he remembered my quote from the yearbook(in fairness, it was something about naked clowns and was the kind of thing you would remember), so then I believed him that we went to high school together. We've been inseparable since.
Ring: Very basic, round solitaire. Just under a carat. I picked it out and did not want him spending all of his hard earned money. Later I added a wrap for sidestones. It's perfect for me.
Proposal: HA! SO UNROMANTIC! But it was totally perfect for the type of couple we are. We had been looking at rings for a while, and I had picked a ring that I loved, but I knew we didn't have much money living on our own, him still in college, etc, etc. So he was late coming home from work one night, and as I was sitting on the bed wrapping presents, bam, he walked in late from work and asked me. I laughed hysterically for about 10 minutes before answering
