It's time for all the talking to be done -- Friday. October 15th

With all this talk of 'who wants to meet who' I have really dropped the ball on this whole GTG thing. I don't give up easy, so here's what we're gonna do. We'll have it in NYC. This way, more people can attend, since I know many of you work in NYC and for those that don't, it may be easier for you to get in.

The date I am proposing is Friday night, October 15th. What do you all think. I'm off all week so I have time to research places. Any suggestions on a place that could hold us would be awesome. Let's try not to pick a place that gets too crowded or noisy. A place with open space or tables is preferable.

Let me know what you think

The date I am proposing is Friday night, September 25th. What do you all think. I'm off all week so I have time to research places. Any suggestions on a place that could hold us would be awesome. Re: It's time for all the talking to be done...

Okay...I assume you mean Friday the 24th, not Saturday the 25th.

Either way, I can't be there. It's Yom Kippur starting that Friday night through Saturday night- most important day on the Jewish calandar...

Re: It's time for all the talking to be done...

I would love to go to meet you guys but it is Yom Kippur. Not sure the big guy upstairs would understand (even for an LIW GTG)!! If you guys end up doing it that day, have a great time. I'll definitely try another time!

YIKES -- how insensitive of me, didn't consult the calendar to see when the jewish holiday was

How about Friday, October 15th

This give us enough time to plan

Next week is too short notice to plan
October 1st, we have a wedding early the next morning
October 8th, we leave for vacation the next day.

Does the 15th work?

Re: It's time for all the talking to be done -- Friday. October 15th

Oct 15 is TERRIFIC for US

But .. aren't there a bunch of October brides & grooms?? (i.e., Peanut? and OctGroom??)

I want to meet Peanut and OctG too!

I know you can never pick one date to please everyone, but we can definitely 'do' the Oct 15th .. and in NYC it makes things a heckuva lot easier for us too

ETA: i see you already posted about Peanut and OG... sorry to be repetitive

this is really hard cuz we're never gonna hit it where everyone can come

and then if we wait much longer, we hit holidays and cold weather and snowstorms and such
