Wedding Day Timeline -- does this seem right?
Hi ladies - I've been working on my wedding day timeline and I feel like there is no time to enjoy myself. Am I missing anything? Alotting too much time for some things? Thanks for the help!
Note: Island Hills is not charging us for setup, pre-ceremony welcome or ceremony time. Only once the cocktail hour starts are we on the clock, and we are planning on paying for an extra hour.
8.00am-Bride Awakes, Showers
8.30am-Breakfast Arrives
- Maid of Honor & Bridesmaid Arrive for Breakfast
9.30am-Hair and Makeup People Arrive
11.30am-Bride Steps into Wedding Gown and Begins final preparation
- Photographer Arrives for Home Pictures
12.00noon-Best Man and Groomsmen Arrive at Courtyard Marriott to get ready with Groom
- Second Photographer Arrives Courtyard Marriott for groom preparation photos
1.00 pm-Limo picks up bride and others to go to Island Hills
1.30pm-Bride arrives at Island Hills for pictures
2.00pm-Limo picks up groom at Courtyard Marriott
2.30pm-Groom arrives at Island Hills for pictures
- Mother of Groom arrives at Island Hills for pictures
3.00pm-Guests Arrive / Greeted with Champagne & Berries
3.30pm-Ceremony begins
4.15pm-End of Ceremony
- Bride & Groom Greet Guests
5.00pm-Cocktail Hour begins
6.00pm-Reception begins
6.15pm-Bridal Party Entrance
- Bride & Groom First Dance
6.30pm-Toasts: Best Man & Maid of Honor Speeches
6.45pm-First Course Served
7.30pm-Traditional Italian & Irish Music and Dancing
8.00pm-Dinner is Served
9.30pm-Cake Cutting Ceremony
- Bride dancing with Uncle
- Groom dancing with Mother
10.00pm-Bouquet Throwing & Garter Tossing
11.00pm-Last Dance
11.15pm-Limo & Shuttle arrive to take guests back to Courtyard Marriott
11.30pm-After-party at Courtyard Marriott

It looks good to me, but are you going to have photographs taken after the ceremony of you and your bridal and grooms parties?

Yes, we're hoping to have most of our solo shots, and individual shots with male/female bridal party and families done before the ceremony. Then we'll do the last of the shots for the first half of the cocktail hour and hopefully get to enjoy the last half.Thanks for noting that though...I'll add it to the timeline.

It looks good w/ one tiny question. - How many pictures are you planning on ?I only ask b/c my friend recently did the same thing. - Her ceremony began @ 7:00 and she has us @ the country club @ 3:00 to get dressed, pictures began at 4:00 - we basically sat around for 4 hours b/c she knew exactly what she wanted and had a list for the photographer, so pictures took all of 20 minutes for us, and another 20 minutes for the boys .........She was not comfortable sitting around in her gown. - Just a thought
