Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

Hi Everybody!
I'm brand new here and doing some research.
Would anyone mind sharing prices they were quoted for halls that you either booked at or looked at?I'm looking to get married in October of 06 but I was curious if it would be drastically cheaper to push it to Nov since that begins the off season? Here are some halls I am interested in : Bellport Country Club, Timber Pointe, Coindre Hall, Hamlet Willow Creek
Iam looking for places that might not be as popular because the majority of my friends and family are all ready married and I would like somewhere where we havn't been to weddings before.

Thanks ladies

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

I can't really be of much help, because I didn't look at any of those places. But I can tell you the food is great at the Bellport CC from a past affair that I was at there.

Good Luck, and Happy Planning!

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

99% of the time if you book November-April the price will drop significantly. Some places I looked at it dropped about $20 pp.

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

I'm getting married at Timber Point November 6, 2004--the prices were not much less than October--maybe $2 or $3 a head, but when we booked ours in July '03 the last 2 Saturdays in October (which we wanted) were already booked, so we just opted for the first one in November (I always wanted a fall wedding with changing leaves and everything). The price difference there was not enough to make that the determining factor, but with my job I couldn't do September or early October so with end of October booked I was kind of forced into November. We also got the pre-renovation prices so I don't know if they have gone up. FM me if you want an exact pp price. We are having an afternoon wedding because we didn't want to have to meet the Saturday night minimum of 150 (ours is 100 for the Sat. afternoon). Good luck--Bellport and Timber Point are both beautiful. I've never been to Hamlet.

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

I think at most places the price drops significantly when you go to the first weekend in November - especially for a Saturday night.

I looked at Timberpoint and it is really nice. The food is supposedly excellent.

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

Timber Point does make Nov-Dec cheaper than Oct. The Cheapest is Jan-Feb. We did march because it was so darn cheap. I don't know what the prices are after the renovations, but 6 months ago we paid $53 per plate before taxes

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

Hey wads! Congrats on your engagement. I looked at Bellport and Timberpoint of the halls you mentioned. Bellport was sort of vague on the anticipated price for 2006 but said around $90-100 pp before tax/service. That was also for June so November should definately be less. Timber Point was VERY reasonable with their prices. I have a whole sheet at home but off the top of my head the prices we got for June were

Fri- 75pp (100 minimum)
Sat aft- 69 pp (100 minimum)
Sat night- 95 pp (140 minimum)
Sun- 85 pp (125 min)

Prices went down to somewhere between 53-63 pp in the off season. When I find my sheet I can FM you with that info. Hope this helps! Good luck

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

I was married at Coinde Hall and exceptionally delighted with the place and service. We used Philip Stone caterers. I wrote a detailed review -- you can find it under '4/4/04 Coindre Hall wedding review' and then FM me with any particulars I can help with. Good luck.

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

Hi there-

I'm getting married at the Bellport CC this Nov. The price before Tax and tip is $100 per head, and that's for the second week of Nov. I doubt that it's going to get any cheaper, because they just finished up renovations AND they redid their wedding menu.

In that $100 per head was open bar, centerpieces** (sort of), wedding cake, etc.

They're REALLY nice to work with- very accomodating.

FM me if you want specific info. They're definitely worth checking out- even if it is my biased opinion... :)

Re: Hall prices -can you guys help me out?

hi and welcome and congrats on your engagement. i can recommend the stewart manor country club, yes i am getting married there in aug 2006 and we are paying a great price and the min is only 100 people. its def not a typical wedding hall, very intimate and set back from the raod. and only one wedding at a time. if you want more info, FM me and i'll tell you what you need to know.

I would definitely like to take you up on your offer (albeit not to me) for feedback on The Swan Club, where I am thinking of having my reception. Thanks in advance!
