Irish Coffee Pub & Sweetwaters

We're thinking of having our RD at the Irish Coffee Pub and I was wondering if anyone can give me a ballpark of what they charge pp?

Also, we're going to check into Sweetwaters in Hauppauge, so if anyone has info on either, it would be most appreciated1
THANKS
Amy

Re: Irish Coffee Pub & Sweetwaters

We're having our RD at the Irish Coffee Pub. They give you a couple different options, but if I remember correctly, their sit down meal was $31 pp (without tax/tip). Then they had 2 different buffets- the smaller was like $29 pp and the larger was like $34ish? It's in the ballpark- we did the sitdown, so that's the one that I know for sure, but the others are within a few $$. Drinks are extra. Beer, wine, soda for 3 hours is $10 extra pp. Open bar, beer, wine soda for 3 hours is $12 extra pp. Call them and have them fax you menus, because what they fax you will be MUCH more extensive than what's on their website.

We looked at Sweetwaters as well because it had such great reviews, AND they had some sort of deal where they would provide a shuttle for your OOT guests from various area hotels-which was very nice. However, I seem to remember their prices being kind of high, so we decided to go with the ICP instead. Plus, I REALLY loved the ICP food.

FM me if you have more ????'s.

Re: Irish Coffee Pub & Sweetwaters

We had our RD at Sweetwaters. I'm not sure of the price, but it was very nice. Afterwards we hung out at the bar for a while and they had live music. I've heard great things about Irish Coffee Pub but have never been there.

Re: Irish Coffee Pub & Sweetwaters

We had our engagement party at Irish Coffee Pub! FANSTASTIC service and food was soooooo yummy! We ran a tab, and it came out cheaper than doing the open bar per person...fyi

If we didn't have the engagement party there, I would soo have the rehearsal there in a minute, but FH wanted Dave and Busters..

Us too! We also had our engagement party there. The food and service was spectacular! We loved it! I'm not sure what my parents paid a head.

We had ours in the Waterford Room

Re: Irish Coffee Pub & Sweetwaters

I'm not sure what the price per person was but I paid about $ 950 - $1000 for my rehearsal dinner at the Irish Coffe Pub.

Buffet ( two salads, a pasta salad, one carving station, a pasta, chicken & fish), Open bar and dessert for 25 people in the Tara room. I really liked the room right below it ( Tipperary Room)but that room was already booked.

The menu choice for the buffet I had is on the website if you look under catering.

I actually had one of my friend's bridal shower there and decided to have my rehearsal dinner there too. They are great to work with. They book up pretty quickly in my experiences with them I I would go sooner than later.

Happy Planning!!!

Re: Irish Coffee Pub & Sweetwaters

I don't have any info as far as prices are concerned, but they are both great places with excellent food. I think the main issue is the tone of the party. Do you want classic elegance or something more modern and trendy. Irish Coffee Pub is a lot more more formal than Sweetwaters. Sweetwaters is more fun and funky-- and the fondue is to die for.

Either way, it's bound to be a beautiful party.

Good luck!
