NWR but I need serious help--office holiday party attire?

My law firm is having their holiday party on Friday and I have no clue what I should wear. Obviously, nothing too low cut or with a high slit, but I have no idea how dressy I should get. It's at a restaurant/club in Manhattan. Any pics would be helpful too Thanks!

How about a pair of black slacks with a glittery festive top (gold or red)- w/ a black pashmina of some sort.

go with a classy dress - I love work functions where i can show up in something that does not at all resemble the slacks and blazer/conservative top i wear all the time!! Love to hear 'Oh my God - you look so DIFFERENT!!'

You'll be at work beforehand, no? I'd just go with a slightly jazzed up suit or something. Just a little more than your regular work day clothing. At least that's what we do at my company.

To me...holiday parties scream 'black dress with amazing shoes!!!' If you can't go all out on the dress then do it with colorful shoes!

Re: NWR but I need serious help--office holiday party attire?

I am going to FH's office party at Tavern on the Green on Friday- every other year, it's been at the Toy Building- so people are dressed in so manyy different ways from dockers to formal dresses.. I plan on wearing what I wore to a wedding I went to at a restaurant- a lace top, with a camisole and I have this great black satin pencil skirt..

In the past I have worn nice black pants, heels and a top that was a little more fancy..

I hope that helps.

Re: NWR but I need serious help--office holiday party attire?

Today, in Part 2 of Newsday, they devoted a whole article on 'what to wear to your holiday office party.'

So did the latest issue of In Style.

What can I say? I have no life. I love clothes.
