Which hospital is better for L&D? My OBGYN gave me two choices.

My SIL had babies at both and she preferred North Shore Manhasset.

North Shore, hands down, the best hospital around here, especially for peds.

I always thought they were the same! That it was one place called LIJ_NS U of Man.
So my question si:

Where is LIJ?
Never mind, I checked their website. New Hyde Park. Wow, I am out of it. LOL!

I gave birth Dec. 10th at North Shore and have not a single complaint about it. Everyone was great very attentive, friendly and professional.

The two hospitals are owned by the same administration. But, each specialize in their own. I believe for peds and OBGYN Northshore is better, but, for adult medicine LIJ is..

I had both my boys at LIJ but I hear wonderful things at North Shore. If I could switch I would but my doctors belong to LIJ all of them including my pediatrician
