Want to honor my mom & sis - need suggestions!!

My mother and sister have always been very special to me (sis is my MOH). While driving today, I heard Celine Dion's Because You Loved Me, and I realized how appropriate it is for them. I don't want to send out a mushy dedication at the wedding, because my family isn't into stuff like that - but I'd like to get the message across to my guests of how important they are to me. So here's what I was thinking: I'll do the regular program for the church ceremony (readings, songs, etc.), and then I'll do a separate program for the reception. I figured I'd include a Who's Who of the wedding party, and I could also explain the meaning behind the obligatory first dances (me and FH, me and Dad, FH and his mom), and have a section for 'special dedications' including the song for my mom and sister.

What do you think? What have you seen done? I'm not one for a lot of drama in public, so I was thinking that this was a simple way to avoid it, while still making a statement.

TIA for your honesty!

Maybe you could have it as the 2nd song played that night after you and FH dance and the DJ can dedicate it to them and everyone can dance to it?

That's really sweet. You are very lucky to feel this way about your mom and sister.

i like the idea of a reception program - include the menu and everything else that is usually on the table or announced.
