How did you pick your wedding song?

Does it have a special meaning? Or did you and FH just pick it out of the blue?

We actually had our song picked out from when we first met. Then we went to see a photographer and he showed us a video and heard a song that just made me cry so we are using finally found someone

we are in between two songs right now........we just LOVE both of them. When we hear the song it is just so special and really meaningful to both of us. I especially love it when FH sings it to me.

My original song that I picked is one that I sing to him when we're in the car

But he's not really into hiphop/dance music (it's by Alicia Keys and Usher) so I heard, 'I Love You Just The Way You Are' by Billy Joel and he liked that one much better

haven't picked ours yet!
I'm the type to get tired of songs quickly if I hear it .. so I'd rather wait till it gets closer to my wedding date..

THe words and the music are the key factor,,,

We both love Bon Jovi, and when we heard Thank You For Loving Me we just knew it was for us. It was 'our song' before we were engaged.

Awwww....this is our wedding song too. We are between Just the Way You Are, and How Deep Is Your Love (Bee Gees). I just Love both of them.

Before we even got engaged I always was in the search for our song...I always liked the song 'could not ask for more' by edwin mccain, but something about it wasn't right, guess it was the singer, my fiancee showed me a girl singing it and i loved her version. We have to pick a second dance for our wedding and we really want 'hold me' by whitney houston and teddy pendergrass but its like 5 1/2 minutes long, not sure if everyone will want to dance that long!!! But those two songs have special meanings and me and FH will dance to them in our bedrooms everytime we hear it :)

Our song is the remake of the song 'Heaven' by Bryan Adams...DJ Sammy sings it now and it is the candlelight version...The words are soooo appropriate for us and I love how it is just the piano and the singers voice...It is beautiful!!!! We both love it!!!

he remembers when it came out when he was a kid (around 11 or so) and he always dreamed it would be his wedding song. So, I listened to it the other day and really liked it--

We don't really have an 'our song'--so I listened to the words and fell in love. He said he's listened to it a few times when thinking of me and always remembers our great times when he hears it.

We're going by the lyrics and the music.
So far we're thinking about 'At Last' but it's been a bit overused (like before we were born!) so we're not really sure if it's the one.

I do really like the lyrics above though! I'm going to look up that song and check out how it sounds!

I fell in love with the song and played it for FH one day, and we were just like.. that's it. We had already had 2 different songs before, but didn't feel quite right, but this one just really fits us!! Good luck. We went by lyrics in the end.
