OK, I am prepared for you all to laugh at me, but...

I really love balloons. To me they emit a happy vibe and I bought 400 in 4 different colors and want to incorporate them into the wedding decor.

And I figure since I am having a non-elegant wedding by having a band I might as well screw up the entire event.

So I am gonna post some photos and hopefully you guys won't cringe or laugh out loud. Well, if you do, at least I gave you something funny to look at. I just need opinions

I happen to love balloons and there's nothing wrong with having them at your wedding. I really wanted to have the set up that Grace(Will&Grace) had at her wedding. Do you know how your going to set them up yet?

I am not really a fan of balloons myself - I had to chaperone lots of proms and they remind me of that, BUT I do like the way they wrap around the columns in that first photo you posted. Does your hall have columns like that? I think that would look very festive.

Diva,

I really love the first photo. However, I would remove the giant heart at the top and make the posts a little narrower. I also love the back wall of that photo. I think that is where the bride and groom sit.

Leonard's changed all their dance floors. They are not wood anymore, just tile. So I would really like to defined the dance floor, if that makes sense.

I also want to incorporate balloons into my centerpieces.

I went to a wedding in Kentucky where the bride and groom had everyone write wishes/good thought on little slips of paper. They had someone take the paper and put it into helium balloons with pretty ribbon, and at their exit, everyone released a balloon. Very festive and pretty, althogh I'm not sure if it's enviornmentally sound.

I think that's pretty. Some people like flowers, somelike balloons. I dont see anything wrong with it. Are you using those colors or did you have another color in mind? Are balloons very expensive?
