not crazy at all. I got engaged on New Year's Eve of this year and had already picked September 05 as the month within a week of the engagement. I can't imagine waiting more than that!!!

As long as you can still get your top choice vendors, I say go for it! I just remember a lot of things booking early when I went looking last year. Good lucK!

I want to do it, but FH says no because he is still in the Corp. till Novemeber 2005 and wants to get a steady 'civilian' job before we get married so he can be stable.

I'd say do it, wish I could.

If you want to - do it! We booked our wedding way too far out. I wish we would have been married last year.

8 months is definitely enough time to pull together a beautiful wedding.

Congratulations!! I think thats great!!! I have already been engaged 2 years and im not getting married for another 2 weeks!! It was hard waiting so long! but financially we had no other choice.

Not crazy at all!! I got engaged in Feb 2003 and booked for an April 2005 wedding, then in October 2003, we moved it up to October 2004 -- 7 months sooner! Everything went fine and I had PLENTY of time to plan.

And it was SO worth too. Best decision we ever made. Good luck and have fun!!
