Maternity Clothes -- When did you finally

break down and actually buy them? I went last week and started trying on a bunch of stuff but most of it was still way too big on me. I just don't have much of a belly at all. But my own clothes are getting really uncomfortable.

I'm also not sure I'm ready to face the world in maternity clothes ... know what I mean? So... I didn't buy anything. But every morning I kick myself because I can't find anything to wear!!

When did you cave? I'm almost 20 weeks...

Re: Maternity Clothes -- When did you finally

I believe that I started wearing maternity clothes around the 17-18 week. They're so comfy! I know that I got a bunch for Christmas and then I wore them to work after that...

Re: Maternity Clothes -- When did you finally

I'm at 14½ weeks, and my pants are starting to feel snug in the tummy area... but I have a 'simple' solution: loop a rubber band around the button closure. This way, I get away with still wearing MY clothes, and still give my tummy room to breathe... the only downfall, can't wear short shirts (need to cover the embarrassing rubberband!)...

I have, though, bought one maternity jeans, and though it's a little big, it fits pretty nice... like regular jeans. Got them at the Gap.
I also went this weekend to look for clothes, but didn't like ANYTHING! We'll have to start buying stuff at some point, eh?

Re: Maternity Clothes -- When did you finally

I am in the same boat - I am just about 20 weeks and don't fit into maternity yet. I went to H&M and bought three pairs of 'work' pants and a pair of jeans in one size larger than normal. That is still working at the moment and it didn't cost alot. I'm just sick of wearing the same stuff over and over! I figure in another two weeks or so I'll have to cave and get maternity pants.

Re: Maternity Clothes -- When did you finally

i am 14 weeks and i started this weekend. my sister got me maternity pants for my bday in jan. and they are a bit big but so comfy.
I bought two pairs of pants two sizes bigger than normal b/c the rubberband thing wasnt working anymore with my own clothes. It didnt help that i had put on weight before becoming pregnant.
I have read to get by this period to buy one or two sizes bigger since there is no tummy stick out to contend with.
