Bucuti Beach resort in Aruba

Any input?

We are thinking of adding to our timeshare week that was a gift from my godmother, but FI thinks it may be a waste.

They have a 3-night honeymoon package for $935 at the Tara Suites.

Any info would be great.

Re: Bucuti Beach resort in Aruba

we stayed there for our honeymoon in September..at the Tara suites...it was very nice except the part of NO A/C in the hallways or elevators...of course we had no idea of this until we got there....everthing was brand new and the view from our balcony was incredible..staff was wonderful! anything else just FM me...

Re: Bucuti Beach resort in Aruba

I did answer this on the BHB board, but wanted to respond to that comment about the lack of AC in the halls and elevators.

I think the reason they might have done that is that the Bucuti is rated as a 'green' or environmentally minded hotel. In order to meet that rating, they might have to eliminate the AC in the halls and elevators - not sure, but that would be my guess. It didn't bother me much because we could blast the AC in the room if we wanted, but if you leave the balcony doors open, the AC will also shut off in the room.

Re: Bucuti Beach resort in Aruba

yes, I believe that is the reason but its horrible getting dressed up nice to go out and you sweat before even getting out of the hotel....it was enough to make us not want to go back there...the elevators were unbearable...ugh
