Silly question about engagement gift thank-yous

I am wondering what kind of thank you notes to send out for engagement gifts. Do I send one with a bride and groom on it, or are those cards meant for actual wedding gifts? Should I send classic pastel-colored Craine's cards? What have you done?

(It figures that something like this would cause some stress )

Re: Silly question about engagement gift thank-yous

I have been going with cards that just say Thank You-- or a plain pretty card.

I got personalized stationary with my name name on it to use for shower invites.

Re: Silly question about engagement gift thank-yous

I already had plain thank you cards in pastel colors... with like a floral design on front - I've been using those.

They say 'if only thank you could sound as nice as it feels' on the front. .. .

the inside is blank and that's where I personalize.

Re: Silly question about engagement gift thank-yous

I made thank you cards. I printed a photo of a Mickey and Minnie topiary with cinderella's castle in the background and the words 'thank you'.

These sort fo went along with ym engagement announcements which I made w/ cindeella's castle on the outside and a little heart with snow white and prince charming in the inside.

I've also seen people use those regular generic thank yous from the card store that come in packs of eight.

I've also seen people get cards printed that say
'Joe and Sue' on the front

This was mine:

Re: Silly question about engagement gift thank-yous

I got some really pretty Cranes stationary with my initial engraved on it. That's what I've been using.

Re: Silly question about engagement gift thank-yous

I have rice paper thank you notes that I got at Target. They have pressed flowers on them and just say thank you on the front.
