05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

Only one post per person and edit only that post, every time you have a motivation break through. Try to keep at TOP if you see it straggling in the 2 and 3 page bump it.

IT IS NOT EASY KEEPING THIS UP TOP!

I will start.

Workout 5 times a week
3 weight/cardio days
2 cardio

20 pounds to lose
Lost 2.5 already
17.5 more to go.

16 weeks to go

I love how all of you are so positive it is a big help for each other. WOOO HOO!!!! We can do it!!!
Everyone who posted so far Thank you. Just by writing it down is the best motivation

My dress didn't come in yet so I guess I have less than 16 weeks. I will make sure I update with right amount of time. Because the weight has to be off before the last fitting.

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

OK- I REALLY should start this now...

My yearly membership to Curves is up on March 11th (but I moved in October, and do not go to this new one like I used to go to my old one) so I will see if Ladies workout express RIGHT NEAR ME is good... If not, will search for another gym, to see if I will ACTUALLY go...

I NEED to eat better also... FH is NO help, and that makes it hard... he won't eat healthier with me, and It's a pain to only prepare for one... I will try to convince him.

*Ideally* I would like to loose 20-30 pounds.. but Realistically I would like to loose 10.

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

I will work out 5 times a week and cut down on my favorite (very bad for me) food.

3 days aeorbics
2 days toning

want to loose 10 pds

Results:
2/26 On my 2nd day and going strong! Achy but feel good.

3/2 The end of week 1 and I stuck to it. I am down about 4 pds but in the past I have always fluctuated around there so I am not too excited yet. I feel good and sticking to it.

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

OK, I have 9 months til the wedding. I am eating healthier but as said before don't want to call it a diet since this is really how I should be eating.

I go to Curves 3 times a week most weeks and I am thinking of getting the billy blanks boot camp tapes for the other days.

I want to lose 15-20 more pounds by the wedding. My goal is bikini for Hawaii. Whether or not I will feel comfortable wearing it is a different story!

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

Where were you guys 2 months ago

Well, I started in early December, working out and watching what I eat. I have 8 days until my second fitting so really, I can't lose anything after that, I just have to maintain. But I can work out my upper body, which is what I'm trying to do.

These are the arms I want SO badly. I'll take her hair too

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

Good idea!

Alright, I'm doing the Body for Life challenge:
Eating 6 portion sized meals a day (1 portion sized carb with 1 portion sized protein), strength training three days a week and aerobics three days a week with 1 free day. I'm doing it at a home gym and has been working out REALLY well in regards to shaping my body, I can see definite signs of muscle tone. I need to lose 30 pounds by September 24 (my 30th birthday). I am down three.

Okay this week was absolutely horrible. FH father came in who is a chef and his mother, who is a drinker of wine and a player of cards. Everything kind of unraveled when we went out to dinner but the best thing I did this week was throw out the scale! Since I'm strength training it was the worth thing for me. So its monday and I'll start again!

3/2: Okay so far so good! Down 3 pounds! I told you all I would throw away the scale and then cheated this morning to see how much I gained last week. All the working out must be doing well. Still loving it and over the weekend my sister (a skinny winny) told me that she could tell I was working out! woohoo! Only 30 more pounds to go

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

Great thread!

5 months until the wedding, 3 months until my first fitting:

I lost 3 lbs since I started, and need to lose 10 more.

Need to amp up my workout from 2-3x/week to 4-5x/week;
Must eat better! No more junk food! Smaller meals!

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

Another Body for lifer here.... I love this program!! I have done this on and off since 2000.

Semi-started 2 weeks ago but did not get all my workouts in (missed 3 weight sessions but did all the cardio) but followed the eating schedule properly. I have been consistent this past week and so far down by 5 pounds , another 5 to 10 to go depending on the level of tone I achieve.

Remember ladies as you build muscle the scale may not change that much but the inches will come off. It took me a long time to realize it's not what the scale reads but to use the bodyfat % instead.

I just need to keep my head focused and keep emotions in check (I love comfort food).... need to look great for the bachelorette party and the big day, ohhh and Italy too!!! Wow, so much to look forward to

Good luck to you all!!! We can all do it!!!

3/2: I am so happy.. I have made every workout session for my Body for Life program for the last 2 weeks and I have been eating properly. Down 1 pant size for sure but I can fit into one of the smaller ones too (so close)

Total loss since 2/21: 8 pounds (10 more to go)

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation

Well here goes..... working out 4-5 times a week (elliptical, Pilates, Tae Bo, Power 90, Slim in 6, weight liftingI try to mix it up), cutting out all sweets for Lent, and trying to eat healthier.

So far nada results....been doing most of this since Sept. minus Holiday Season. I have real difficulty losing weight 'on command'

I really would just like to lose 5-10 lbs.

Next step....cut out all drinking but not just yet

a little over 4 months to go!

2/25- FI bought me Yoga Booty Ballet since I wanted it...new video to try!
