weight gain

Well Im a little over 8 weeks pg, and I have gained like 8lbs already...

I was very into dieting before I got pg. and lived by weight watchers. Since I have become pg. I can no longer eat my 'points' and have begun eating more, mainly because Im hungry more. Esp. taking the prenatal vitamins... If I dont eat..I get nauseus.

I believe alot of it, is because my body is out of routine... but is this normal?

Re: weight gain

Re: weight gain

You are not alone. I am 15 weeks PG and i am up 16 lbs. I have a nutritionist and i go to the gym. I was underweight for my wedding in september and now i feel like a blob. My doctor said i am fine. Some people just gain more than others. Ask you doctor and see what they say.

Re: weight gain

I know when you diet, you usually try to lose 5lbs less than your goal weight, for when you re-gain your normal eating routines you'll usually gain that intial 5 back....but Im just starting to get worried,I hope its not all down hill from here.

I really just wanna be all belly...keeping my weight gain to a min. but Im starting to feel like I have no control over this.

I just feel like it takes so much more to make me feel 'full' now, and I just dont understand...I mean being so early in my pregnancy in all, Im eating for two...but one of us is the size a bean... Im questioning if thats normal??!!!

Re: weight gain

So far I have gained approx 30lbs (almost 38weeks pg) and I ate everything in sight. Chocolate everyday and a million snacks. I think it is important to still exercise. We are living in Dublin and don't have a car so I walk everywhere. Walking is great exercise when you a pg. Try to take walks, park the car a little farther away in the parking lot or go to the gym and walk on the treadmill at a moderate pace. When I was home in Jan, I went to the gym with my mom and I walked on the treadmill at 3.2mph and was able to keep my heat rate below 120.

Re: weight gain

I'm 15 weeks and have only gained 3 pounds and it makes me so nervous like I'm not eating enough or that something is wrong. Ehhh I hate being so nervous all the time.
