IM sorry im sure this will cause some DRAMA but..
I don't understand I am watching channel 2. They are showing a video where people were resisting arrest. The cop took out his cuffs and told him to put his hands behind his back. The guy hit the cop and then someone else hit him. The cop had to take on 2 people by himself. Another cop was hit and had to be hospitalized. Now the family is going to sue the city and the cops for hitting the guy with a nightstick UMMMM I DONT GET IT. When a cop tells you stop this is not the time to run, hit the cop, put your hand in your pocket.

i think the cops did the right thing in smacking him if they were resisting arrest they have to get the cuffs on the guys! i hope the cops are going to be ok!

I fully agree w/ the cops on this one. WTH...ridiculous to sue. I hope the cops are okay. It's one tough job & I respect them. These days they get no support.

Yeah, you're getting about 1 post for every 10 views. People love to look at drama, but they don't like to get involved . BTW, I definately agree with you on this.

what about the illegal aliens arrested for sex crimes and being deported and then saying its discrimination?
Um youre illegal here in the first place...YOu broke the law at least twice..
Its amazing the things you hear about...
In college we I was taking a class about law.. There was a man who was going to rob a house and fell through their skylight and broke his leg... then he sued the homeowners and won!
This world is really backwards.. The criminals have more rights than anyone else..
I could go on and on and on..

Thats too funny, I heard about the same case. Then there was another one about some guy trying to steal a safe and he ended up falling down the stairs and sued and won.

I can see how it could've possibly turned into a "police brutality" thread - often times the violence against the "arrestee" isn't called for -
for example, my FH's friend is a cop in Jamaica. He was telling us about last weekend, when they were arresting a guy on drug charges, and he tried to run off while cuffed, so his partner dislocated his ankle. THat's not necessarily called for, and I would say that is where this thread could've gone.
I'm not trying to start something, just pointing out the other side of the argument.
